Currently, the BoE estimate for inflation for this year by the autumn is in the region of 8-10%.

I rather think that should keep pace with Somchai's inflation rate which of course is from a relatively low base for we farang who are not burdened with high property taxes and energy costs which either don't exist to any meaningful degree or are subsidised by the state. Other than imported stuff, food and clothing costs are of course of no concern.

Quite why you should witter on about Thai inflation is a mystery for those of us settled here within our western sourced pensions.

I expect it's your innate northern inspired parsimony and angst over the costs of keeping your whippets and buying tripe butties that has provoked this concern.
He is correct though. Your pension this year will be based on the September 2021 rate. (3.1%)
Your pension in 2023 may be adjusted by government intervention.

Any state pension awarded to a Thai resident will not increase at all, unless you move back to the UK or another country where reciprocal agreements exist.

The stupid cvnt can't make it as far as Bangkok, anywhere involving a flight is definitely out of the equation. Besides, he loves it here

Back on the F&C topic, Sharple's in Pattaya has been mentioned in the thread and for price comparison purposes this costs about 260 Baht.

Thousands of Britain's 'fish and chip' shops could close within a year. Here's why-20220518_131145-jpg

Haven't tried it myself yet and will wait till they hopefully become successful enough to move into a proper restaurant location, it's basically a tin booth with tables and chairs in a carpark right now. Does look good though and 95% of reviews are positive, the guy behind it comes from a family that has half a dozen F&C shops spread around the UK.

I know that, you fucking idiot. Read the post again but this time concentrate - the point seemingly causing a draught over your balding, frazzled pate is that at current rates public sector pensions will be uprated in April 2023 by this September's calculation of the CPI which if it continues its upward spiral will be in the region of 8-10%, an increase that will more than cancel out Thai inflationary pressures, a fact rebutting Tax's somewhat misplaced concern over my finances.

Truly, only a lumpen slob could possibly conclude that muck looks good, Headfuck, you ghastly boor.

You lower end drag ups just can't help yourselves, can you. Your adolescent boasting of your crude consumerism that you fatuously confuse with ' class ' is just so much 'lipstick on a pig' and just as convincing. An oik you are and an oik you will always be as you trough away at your slops.

It looks disgusting and only fit for ditch diggers but I daresay it will curry ( gosh! ) favour with the lower end British and their Antipodean spawn.

The staff seem presentable, perhaps not up to Gullivers standards.

Frankly, I doubt thay would survive if they were to take on a lease for more conventional premises given their clientele would doubtless focus on lower end transient Brit/Ocker mongers. Thai, Krauts, Indians, Russians and MEs would give it a miss thereby reducing the 'footprint'.

The fish is of course frozen and the chips look as if they have been cut from Thai grown potatoes, a ghastly product bereft of flavour and texture.

Nope, not worth the money, an aberration only fit for the undiscerning ( i.e. lower end, trailer trash, ditch digging, Ocker drag ups so richly championed by our resident slob, Headfuck )

    Har, har.

Sausages, just to put things into the perspective you chose to pretend doesn't exist you're nothing but a two-bob whining pikey ex public servant jobsworth who's painted himself into an inescapable life of torture surrounded by a race of people you hate, the feeling would be most definitely be mutual I'm sure and not neccesarily limited to Thai's either.

In short, you're the epitome of a walking cluster-fuck with the brains of a retarded chimp, so you'll have to excuse people for laughing at your truly pathetic attempts to project any image of superiority or intelligence as the pitiful existence you think is a life goes up in flames.

Tell you what it's not limited to, being a completely miserable cvnt because of continuous bad decisions then falsely assuming nobody else could possibly enjoy the life they've made for themselves either. I get it, you were a public serf your whole life where being told what to do by superiors and bus conductors and whatnot while never having to make decisions on your own led to this. What you should have done is ask advice here before fucking everything up, there's a lot of successful and happy people here with real life skills who could have helped if you asked politely. But no...

weren't you the one dreaming of buy a watch in the UK, of course it won't happen because it's like most of what you post, its hot air - you won't spend a months pension on it. Its pocket change for most of the oiks you decry on here tho.

a fact rebutting Tax's somewhat misplaced concern over my finances.
i have negligable concern over your finances but as an ex civil servant i am sure your colleagues will have made you aware of all the methods available to obtain your yearly increases whilst residing abroad.

and regarding fish and chips, for those in or around yorkshire i would recommend either the magpie at whitby

Menus & Wine List – Magpie Cafe

or murgatroyds between leeds and otley.

with staff that put the isaan slappers above to shame.

thai fish and chips ( frozen fish and unsuitable potatoes) cant comete with the authentic taste of fresh north atlantic sourced cod or haddock with chipped maris piper potatoes.

My dear Stumpy ( presumably a sobriquet reflecting your challenged stature and stunted intellect ) having one's ass handed to one by this pack of mangy curs yapping away in their poorly expressed yammering is as effectual as a stern look from a somnabulant gerbil.

Might have to get fish and chips tonight!

Might even take a note of the price, something that I've never previously done as its always been cheap as chips here in the uk.

The big question is what to have with ones fish and chips???

Slice of lemon, mushy peas , tartar sauce or all three?

That waitress above appears to have been at the tartare sauce.
