And apparently Will Smith hits like a gurl.

I'd have loved rock for have knocked his teeth out, that would have been funny.

Will was well out of order. It was a joke, he laughed at it and then had a delayed reaction.

He should have been ejected.

Imagine if a female comedian had told the same joke - we would be going apoplectic if he’d hit her.

I thought it was staged to get some publicity.

Totally agree with you MK because;

1/ Oscars 2021: Nielsen data shows viewers have lost interest in award shows
2/ Anyone who's ever heard someone being slapped in the face knows that the sound in the clip is pure Hollywood. Slap your own thigh if you don't know what it should have sounded like, the real sound is unmistakable.
3/ The first thing everyone does when they get slapped in the face is put their hand on to the site to stop the stinging and check for blood, unless it's a rehearsed scene in a movie with professional actors in both roles of course.
4/ They'll be talking about this in years to come just like the Timberlake - Jackson event on live TV that also wasn't rehearsed

I dunno staged or not. But smith laughed at it, then took a look at his hoe wifes face and then went and bitch slapped rock.

A producer isn't going to stop will smith walking up to the stage. It's not like it was an attack from some random guy.

^No but a producer would have cut to a commercial break immediately while they sorted out what was going on on live TV. Well it can't have been too live as apparently the swearing Smith did was censored out on American TV, but was broadcast to the rest of the world

Anyway, believe what you want is real including pro wrestling and 2 friends/actors getting into a slap at the Oscars

Any decent producer would have cut to a commercial as soon as he saw Smith stand up.
