I agree. When you put yourself out there on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, talk shows, write books you are public domain. You have to expect comments both good and bad.

I also agree on a section of what SA posted, part of most every comedians show is cracks at the audience. Yeah some are on the edge but that doesn't give anyone the right to come out of the audience and assault the guy. Even though Chris Rock didn't press charges, The Promoters should.

His apology is a typical chain letter response. Its all laughable. But I am still heavily leaning that it was all set up.

This will all be forgotten in a few weeks until next years crap show.

That was amateur night, the true crime is Will Smith getting an accolade for playing Will Smith. FFS these awards long ago lost any meaning aside from acting as yet another conduit for actors and the arts fraternity to show just how "Right on" and "On message" they can be.

This year they ticked the BLM and disability boxes and have even manged to shed light on the theme of black on black violence of NWA and a dash of women suffering for their beauty.

All in all I suspect the producers were so busy congratulating themselves they missed that fact that most of the films were crap.

The Academy Awards have today rushed to re-award the Oscar for “best on-screen drama or fight scene” following an on stage scuffle which saw Will Smith punch Chris Rock in the mouth. Responding to a speech made by Rock during the ceremony, Will Smith proceeded to live out ever Oscars viewer’s dream, by storming onto the stage and punching the host for their lame attempt at a joke.


Organisers for the awards have apologised to the public, stating that it was not their intention for the ceremony to be that interesting.



“We never intended for this televised event featuring all the worlds best actors to descend into drama,” explained the head of the academy. “Wait I’ve just seen the ratings numbers. Alright, let’s get ready to rumble!”


Representatives for Smith have apologised for the incident, stating that he will be seeking help for the outburst, and he will be temporarily rehabilitating with his uncle and aunt in Bel Air.

The most extraordinary thing about Sunday night’s Academy Awards ceremony was Chris Rock’s cool. How many people, even professional performers like Mr Rock, would be able to maintain their poise immediately after having been slapped by a world-famous actor in front of millions of viewers? It was an astonishing performance – so astonishing that it is easy to see why the audience in the room were not certain whether it was all part of the show.

Another thought occurs: we must give thanks that Mr Rock is not white. If a white man had made the same joke about Will Smith’s wife and Mr Smith had responded in the same violent way, America would surely have exploded. Left-wing Democrats and the main US networks would have indulged in what, in other contexts, they would call “victim-shaming” – saying the joke was racist and Mr Smith’s slap was an expression of righteous anger. Right-wing Republicans and the conservative Fox News network would have lambasted Mr Smith’s foul-mouthed violence. Various cities would have been torched.

Instead, the audience was presented with a curiously old-fashioned scene – a furious man hitting another man in order to defend the honour of his wife. In an evening devoted to celebrating “diversity”, it would have been more appropriately empowering if Mr Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, had herself stormed the stage and delivered the angry blow.
