Well, that was my point anyway. This is an event brought on by rain most likely caused by climate change. BS and Russ are just a couple of tossers trying to pass blame across the boarder.

Also, I am sure you have noticed how warm it has been through all of this? Noway, that's normal for this time of year.

A whole series of reports and recommendations have been filed over the past 20 years or so, concerning the inadequate state of flood controls. Poor dike maintenance and inspection being repeatedly mentioned. Various provincial governments have been ignoring the situation for years.

It's a bit like not maintaining your car and one day it just quits when you're in a big hurry to go somewhere.

Of course the weather has been unusual but if you wait long enough , really bad weather will show up.

I heard that the environmental movement prevented dredging the river and a few other things.. On the US side and the Canadian side. The dykes of the Nooksack can't be raised due to environ-mental concerns

This Arctic outflow wind and cold is worse than anything i experienced in Sask or Alberta. -14 in BC is worse than -30 in Alberta

Minus twenty seven without adding in a wind chill here this morning. I'll exercise my option to stay in today. This is hardly liveable. I'm hoping to be in warmer climes come next year. brrrrr..............Approaching +Fifty degrees last summer. Now approaching -30. Crazy weather this year.

The last time I was in -27 weather was when I was in Yellowknife. I thought I was going to die between the sub-zero weather and driving on frozen rivers.

Where I am here in the center of Georgia, it has been in the 70’s during the day and 60’s at night. I’ve got the windows open.

That's colder than Saskatoon. At least when i checked yesterday. Do you get a lot of wind up there too or not ? The wind in the Fraser valley makes it look like a scene from the north pole in some places

That arctic blast has hit Seattle as well. It has been below freezing for the last two days, and we have almost of foot of snow on the ground. Last night, it was 18f/-7c here. Highly unusual to stay below freezing during the day here.
