    Trudeau reelected

He bet that Canadians didn't want a right wing government in charge in the middle of a pandemic. Probably right.

Canada's Trudeau re-elected as Prime Minister but his Liberal Party falls short of parliamentary majority - CBS News

I must admit my keyboard is getting a bit worn out and some keys need a harder press.

However, I have fixed the error, so now your day can be full of joy and excitement instead.

He bet that he could win a majority. Obviously wrong.

He also called an election in the middle of a pandemic that resulted in almost no change at all.

Luckily, unlike our neighbors to the south, most of our right wing politicians don't view covid as a hoax. Except for the People's Party of Canada. They didn't win any seats, but made huge gains in votes. Trudeau played to that divisiveness by taunting them, knowing full well that a gain in PPC votes, would be a loss of Conservative votes. A gain for his party, but a dangerous strategy for the country as he only emboldens the PPC.

So the conservatives aren't in charge then.

And he's bought himself a couple of extra years.

Sounds like a result to me.

You seem to like Trudeau. Do you know he is the biggest pussy of all the party leaders when it comes to dealing with China. He's still pondering allowing Huawei to build a 5g network ffs. And he calls anybody that questions that a racist. Just like he did when the pandemic broke and people wanted Chinese flights into Canada blocked.

    I didn't vote Conservative btw.

Like I said, almost exactly the same result as the last election.

But Trudeau felt the need to spend 600 million dollars, in the midst of a 4th wave of covid, on the very slim chance he'd get a majority.

Yup, and there's a rich Chinese lady living in a mansion allowed daily shopping trips with the mere embarrassment of having to wear an ankle bracelet. Should've revoked her bail a long time ago.

Let's not forget Trudeau instructing his cabinet to abstain on a vote calling the treatment of Uyghurs genocide.

I swear the Chinese have something on him.

More to do with rich people being able to afford a lot of lawyers, unlike the 2 Michael's who I'm sure have only been "appointed" lawyers.

^ I would disagree - things have changed pretty radically in the last 5 years for china - Xi wants to be emperor and is busy pissing in all the corners
even Jack Ma , who you would agree has ample funds at his disposal had a serious problem in the last year - and add in all the celebrities finding themselves in for re education also.

the michaels will only be helped by diplomacy , whereas the chin queen was helped by democracy

I thought the book - The Last Correspondent by micheal smith was worth reaading

The Last Correspondent by Michael Smith

I thought I was clear about Mengs wealth helping her while being tried in Canada. The wealthy you refer to have troubles in China, so not sure of your point.

I disagree with the first part and think we should just jump to step two.

The Conservative party in Canada would probably be considered Communist in the American political theater. They did not win because the the new leader moved the party too far to the left...

The real right wing party (people's party ) split the conservative vote to the extent that quite a few seats that would have gone conservative went to the Liberals..
Looks like the conservatives won the overall popular vote, same as the last election, but did not manage to win the election...again...
