The fact that you would think that is a testament to how people make an active decision to ignore history & context because they don’t like it and because other people will give them a second opinion, they’ll take that even if it’s clearly wrong.

And therein lies the root of the problem, the justification to own as many guns as and have as little accountability as possible.

How do you suggest they do that Cujo? Just knock on their door and ask them to hand them over? What could possibly go wrong.

Not to mention all the other amendments and laws that would violate and the constitutional crisis it would cause.

But that doesn’t stop some big names in the democrat party from pushing such blatant madness.

People like Slick don't actually understand the Constitution and think the 1st and 2nd Amendments are sacred but probably don't even know any of the others--certainly don't defend them with the same vigor.

Nobody is coming for their guns and if they are truly moron enough to think that and that they need guns to defend against their own government then they don't know how tanks work

    More horseshit.

They are interpreted as they are interpreted because they were too vague to be explicit.

And it's always up for debate as that is the single most important thing that the framers put in the constitution. Is there anything about US government that you understand?

No, Scalia was a constitutional pedant who was too fucking dumb or too fucking stubborn to realise that the world has changed.

Indeed. It will not be long before someone suggests that they should be allowed to own tactical nukes. Just in case, like.

Thanks. I thought the moronic posting style seemed familiar. Also wondered who would send me a rude red for a post that said the Colorado shooter looked far older than 21. Guess stupid is forever.

In Facebook posts over the last 18 months, he complained about not having a girlfriend, ranted about President Trump and talked about his Islamic faith.

The New York Times reported on Tuesday that he was known to the FBI because he was linked to another person who has been under investigation for something else. They didn't give any more details.

I can't see Biden scrapping the Second Amendment...

    ...needs to happen.
