    Yes, but it is exceedingly inefficient compared to battery electric. By a factor of 3 to 4. Fuel cells are not very efficient and are expensive compared to batteries and require very expensive catalysts.

    Ammonia production involves methane.

    And most of the links on the first page say that states can probably grow sufficiently to accommodate it if there is investment in renewables.

    Not to mention that I would imagine peak demand for charging cars would be when you are asleep and demand is low.
