Thread: Nashville Police believe vehicle explosion an intentional act

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - Metro Police believe an explosion that occurred outside a building on Second Ave North downtown early Friday morning was "an intentional act."

Nashville Fire confirmed three people were transported to the hospital without significant injuries.

Police said the explosion was linked to a vehicle and went off at 6:30 a.m. Friday.

Emergency crews have closed a 10-block radius around the site of the explosion. A Metro Police bomb disposal unit arrived on the scene.

Fire crews said windows were broken out from the explosion area to Broadway and are encouraging people to avoid the area if possible.

Smoke was visible on the Nashville skyline as people in the surrounding areas reported feeling a large shaking.


It is unclear at this time what led to the explosion or if there any injuries.

Metro Police and federal authorities are currently investigating the scene.

US cities are sad looking places. Not sure a bomb is the right answer though.

My wild guess is that it is a "terrorism act", brought upon brought on by President Trump pardoning Blackwater... Justice does not matter anymore.

Not that the bomb was particularly sophisticated, but it would have been an awful lot of work to do in two days, over the Christmas holidays, during a pandemic. No, this has been planned for several weeks, probably months.

It's not impossible, but here are far more likely candidates. This is the work of a Trump supporter who believes that the election was stolen, or recent convert to extremist Islam, or a recent convert to Antifa, or maybe just a rebel without a cause. I expect that CCTV and vehicle tracing will lead the authorities to find the culprits within a few days.

Lets hope they do find them and bring them to justice, although their crimes are not as severe as Blackwater, I doubt Trump will pardon them

Looks like more of a warning or call for attention, if they wanted real carnage it would've been set to go off later in the day. Or could be a cockup, setting the timer for am instead of pm.
