You do realize Time and Newsweek are on the interwebs too right?
Of course, but on subscription - and with so many publications available on the web that are free . . . the last Time I got on a flight was barely more than 20 ages long and my longtime favourite 'The Economist' simply wasn't the same as most of the articles had had real time udates elsewhere
Yeah, I meant available for free.
'The Economist' sadly was just never equipped to battle the internet.
Might be more telling as to why they still exist and understanding their historic origins - both being smaller subsidiaries of mega-media corporations.
In a truer and competitive world, they would cease to have a place....traditional hard copy or electronic editions.
In a dumbed down world, they thrive.
