Look at this. There is a trigger warning in the link from above. Is this story worthy of a trigger warning ? Did the multiple beheading articles from France come with trigger warnings ?

Same website with the beheading story. No trigger warning

Sure, I'm being ornery. Bullshit like this makes me so. It is not a major diplomatic incident at all.
That beautiful woman must have cheated you, taken you for a ride and taken all your money. Did she leave you standing in the rain with your penis up your ass?

Also, why weren't any other women examined that may have been on an earlier flight or in the airport etc? Could it have been an actual Qataris who worked in the airport etc.. seems odd to me.

It wasn't only women off that flight. I am guessing they used CCTV to identify the passengers that had used that particular toilet. The Sydney flight in question was detained on the tarmac for three hours before this happened.

One thing very much absent from this story is whether or not they actually found the mother.

A link would be useful to determine which other countries the Qatar government apologised to.

Oh the old convicts are coming down hard on them.

LONDON: Australian politicians from across the political spectrum have withdrawn from a formal dinner hosted by Qatar’s ambassador to Canberra, over an incident at Doha airport earlier this month that saw female passengers removed from a flight to Sydney and strip-searched by local authorities.

Now Qatar has said it will prosecute those responsible for the searches.
Which of course it will identify as the Indian and Filipino staff following orders from some Qatari jobsworth, whose name will be kept out of it.

It does seem a bit odd to join the ranks of Backspin and OhOh in being so supportive of abusing women.

Why? Are you too utterly stupid to understand basic English to follow the story? Should the Qatari government apologise to Uruguay, Belize, Zimbabwe . . . or to the women who were abused and the countries they come from?

    FOO

So it's good that some hapless nurses from the Philippines are going to take the fall for the bad PR of this story ?

Probably. And can't you just smell the naked Greed in the air- they're angling for a payout. Don't give them one- Please. Australia has too many scumbag lawyers already.

And then there's the TD bleeding heart brigade. Of course, under the same circumstances, if a mentally distressed woman who had just dumped her newborn in a public lav had freely boarded a flight, and caused harm to herself &/ or others- they would be the first to be upset about that too. What about your "Duty of Care"! Oh the distress.

So lets all just be upset about something. Sigh.

So, you repeat and get upset about something Harry threw out there as a possibility and it becomes hard truth . . . and to cover up your support for forced molestation and rape?

I think they have a right to be upset if they weren't actually even told what was going on. QR will probably gift them a few hundred thousand miles they can't use and that will be the end of it.

OK, I can agree with that. If the Security detail did not tell them "What was going on", they should have. But- Privacy concerns? Dunno really.

It turns out this case is even more shocking than i had realised. That poor newborn baby, a girl, was not just left in a public toilet- she was stuck in a bin, and buried under layers of garbage! A deliberate attempt at infanticide, not just abandonment. Charming.

No, you are being a cvnt. And so too are those selfish biatches delayed on the plane, if now that they realise the actual, horrific details behind this criminal incident, are still cynically manipulating it for what they can get.

And of course, being called a cvnt by the universally scorned & reviled kraut is about the highest accolade one can receive on TD. Tnx for the red btw- you know full well I am not childish enough to respond, ever.

My first look at this thread. In summary, on a list of the 100 most important things Aussies should be concerned about, this would be 101.

I guess if you think that a country's citizens being forced to present themselves fo an invasive procedure is ok - have at it.
The country in question publicly apologised and stated that the people in question had overstepped their authority when they assaulted the women (and it is assault).

But . . . if it's ok for people like sabang, Skidmark and OhOh then it must be so

    Hardly-

The Qatari government said it "regrets any distress or infringement on the personal freedoms" of a group of women subjected to invasive internal searches at an airport in Doha.

"A newborn infant was found in a trash can, concealed in a plastic bag and buried under garbage, at Hamad International Airport (HIA)," the government said in a statement.

"The baby girl was rescued from what appeared to be a shocking and appalling attempt to kill her."

"This was the first instance of an abandoned infant being discovered in such a condition at HIA – this egregious and life-threatening violation of the law triggered an immediate search for the parents, including on flights in the vicinity of where the newborn was found."

That would be called a statement of regret, lubingly crafted by their PR agency. A backhanded apology, it ever there was one. I even condemn that- they did entirely the right thing, for the safety and security of their passengers, and the well being and mental distress concerns attached to the perpetrator/ victim. Not to mention, an appalling crime that any woman I know would shudder at. You do realise, right, that childbirth is a dangerous thing, particularly without any medical assistance at hand?

Seriously, what a useless bunch of pansies our society has become. Go China!

I suppose there are ways and means to identify the "mother" who aborted her child and left it to die.

One wonders what specimens were taken and held for analysis.

I would be morbidly curious to know what happened to produce this awful outcome, and why. I'm even being 'sensitive enough' to still describe the perpetrator as a potential victim. It's very sad, whatever the facts may turn out to be.
