the victim was a teacher who during a class on free speech had shown the class cartoon depictions of mohammed (hallowed be his name). A parent of one of the children apparently took offence and waited for the teacher outside the school and summarily beheaded him.

dont know what it is with these raghead scum, yesterday in jordan three men abducted a 16 year old boy, drove him to a remote location and then cut off both his hands before gouging out both of his eyes. They told him it was because his father had killed one of their clan. poor lad is recovering in hospital.

^ It's just fucking insane. I know a ban on Islam isn't realistic. But Western societies should do as they do in Russia.

There's lots of Islam in Russia. Even in Moscow. But they do not fucking tolerate ANY Wahhabist style Islam. They have a firewall set up to keep all Saudi money out. There isnt one Saudi funded mosque in Russia. And for the most part , it works.

So to any lefty out there , can we agree to keep the Saudi and whhabi Islam out ? Or is that too much ?

I've been preaching it here on TD for years

President Emmanuel Macron has unveiled a plan to defend France’s secular values against what he termed as “Islamist radicalism”, saying the religion was “in crisis” all over the world, prompting a backlash from Muslim activists.

In a long-awaited address on Friday, Macron insisted “no concessions” would be made in a new drive to push religion out of education and the public sector in France.

“Islam is a religion that is in crisis all over the world today, we are not just seeing this in our country,” he said.
He announced that the government would present a bill in December to strengthen a 1905 law that officially separated church and state in France.

Suspect in French Teacher Beheading was Chechen, Born in Moscow

The man suspected of beheading a French teacher who had shown his students cartoons of the prophet Mohammed was an 18-year-old born in Moscow and originating from Russia's southern region of Chechnya, a judicial source said on Saturday.

Five more people have been detained over the murder on Friday outside Paris, including the parents of a child at the school where the teacher was working, bringing to nine the total number currently under arrest, said the source, who asked not to be named.

According to the source, the two detained parents had signalled their disagreement with the teacher's decision to show the cartoons.

The other new people detained for questioning are members of the suspect's social circle but not family members.

The assailant was shot by police and later died of his injuries. Identification documents were found on him.

France has seen a wave of Islamist violence since the 2015 terror attacks on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket in the capital.

French anti-terror prosecutors said they were treating the assault as "a murder linked to a terrorist organization."

The attack happened on the outskirts of Paris at around 5pm (1500 GMT) near the middle school where the teacher worked in Conflans Saint-Honorine, a northwestern suburb around 30 kilometers (20 miles) from the city center.

The killing bore the hallmarks of "an Islamist terrorist attack," President Emmanuel Macron said as he visited the scene.

The victim was a history teacher who recently showed cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed as part of a class discussion on freedom of expression, police said.

Good. I hope the doctors let him die on the table. Religious scum of any denomination must be smashed with force. I am sick of this scum.

Unfortunately it's not seen as "smashing with force" but earning him 72 virgins.

I just finished watching Jesus Christ Superstar which I have not seen since I was at school. Crackling good fun and has aged really well (except needed a hotter actress for Mary Magdalene)

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber should do a rock opera about the life of Mohammed to get these mussies to lighten up a bit.

Once they are softened up a bit then we can get Monty Python to do a Life of Martin comedy version

Chechen accused in France beheading no longer had links with Russia, embassy says

The 18-year-old Chechen accused of beheading a teacher near his school in a Paris suburb received asylum in France and had no links to Moscow, a Russian diplomat said.

"This crime has no relation to Russia because this person had lived in France for the past 12 years," the spokesman for the Russian embassy in Paris, Sergei Parinov, told state news agency TASS.

It has also been reported that the teacher had been the target of online threats for having shown pupils cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed in class.

The father of a schoolgirl had sought 47-year-old teacher Samuel Paty's dismissal and launched an online call for "mobilisation" against him after the lesson on freedom of expression, France's anti-terror prosecutor Jean-François Ricard said in a televised news conference.

Paty was decapitated outside his school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, northwest of the capital, and the killer was fatally wounded by police.

Ricard identified the attacker as Abdullakh A., an 18-year-old Chechen with refugee status in France.

Nine people, including the schoolgirl's father, have so far been arrested.

Ricard said the school received threats after the class in early October, which featured the controversial caricatures -- one of the prophet naked -- with the girl's father accusing Paty of disseminating "pornography".

The girl and her father lodged a criminal complaint against the teacher, who in turn filed a complaint of defamation.

The aggrieved father named Paty and gave the school's address in a social media post just days before the beheading, which President Emmanuel Macron has labelled an Islamist terror attack.

Ricard did not say if the attacker had any links to the school, pupils or parents, or had acted independently in response to the online campaign.

Witnesses said he was spotted at the school on Friday afternoon asking pupils where he could find Paty.

The prosecutor said the attacker had been armed with a knife, an airgun and five canisters. He had fired shots at police and tried to stab them as they closed in on him. He was shot nine times.

The attacker himself was not known to the French intelligence services, said the prosecutor.

An investigation is under way into "murder linked to a terrorist organisation".

On Saturday, hundreds of pupils, teachers and parents flooded to Paty's school to weep and lay white roses.

Some carried placards stating: "I am a teacher" and "I am Samuel" -- echoing the "I am Charlie" cry that travelled around the world after the 2015 Charlie Hebdo killings.

According to parents and teachers, Paty gave Muslim children the option to leave the classroom before he showed the cartoons, saying he did not want their feelings hurt.

This was the second such attack since a trial started last month into the January 2015 massacre at the offices of the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine, which had published caricatures of the prophet that unleashed a wave of anger across the Islamic world.

I believe the phrase is "Methinks thou dost protest too much".

Forget the fact that their ethnic cleansing of Chechens and wanton destruction of Grozny created a whole new bunch of terrorists, just like the seppos did in Iraq.

This kid was a product of that action and, despite being in France from a young age, was almost certainly radicalised by Chechen extremists created by Russia.

The US created its own enemies in Iraq.

Neither of them will ever openly admit that they created a monster.

You mean the Chechen's who were headquartered in London during those wars ? Who are still headquartered in London to this day ? Who were tasked with splitting Russia down the middle , armed and funded by the Anglo axis ? Just as they did to Yugoslavia rather successfully with the Bosnian Muslims. And what they are doing to China with the Uiger and Burmese Muslim pity project.

EXILED CHECHEN separatist leader Akhmed Zakayev has returned to London after Poland declined a request from Russia to extradite him on charges of murder, kidnapping and terrorism.

Mr Zakayev was granted political asylum by Britain in 2003, and the UK authorities have rejected Russian demands for his extradition.

Without condoning the event/travesty at all, the teacher could have been a whole lot smarter about how to teach that concept.

I worked with an Engish teacher that wanted to allow his Year 8 students to be allowed to debate freedom for LGBTQ+ people in Indonesia. As correct as he was about free speech and diversity, that would have been just asking for trouble.

Perhaps a falang teacher in Thailand (there are a few here) could try such explaining using an example (I do not dare to mention which one). Then seeing what happens... (Hooo nouvz?)

I truly doubt a teacher would be be-headed in Thailand. Unless he was teaching way down in the south?
