A powerful blast has just rocked the Lebanese capital of Beirut.

Beirut "Like A War Zone": Terrifying Mystery Blast Shockwave Filmed Over City | Zero Hedge

A powerful blast has just rocked the Lebanese capital of Beirut. The cause of the massive explosion is as yet unknown.
But multiple social media videos from various angles shows it happened during daylight hours Tuesday, in the late afternoon or early evening local time.
Images show that a massive shockwave flashed over the city, followed by an immense fireball that appeared several stories high.
It happened near Beirut's port and there are unverified reports of a secondary explosion as well.

Rumor is that this is just a little mishap at the roman candle factory.

I think someone packed a warehouse full of fertilizer and diesel.

Well we know how shit the Lebo's are at making bombs after their Bangkok shenanigans.

A blast that big isn't going to be a failing LPG tank at a shawarma shop.

Lebanon’s state news agency NNA said the blast happened in Beirut’s port area where there are warehouses housing explosives. It is not immediately clear what caused the blast or what kind of explosives were in the warehouses.

The Lebs are veering between a ship full of fireworks (don't think so) or a chemical factory (bomb factory?).

Lebanon is also due to release the verdict on the Hariri killing this week, which of course was the work of the odious Iranians and their Hizbollah puppies.

Fireworks or industrial accidents don't typically blow all at once.

I don't trust these Lebanese cats

There are two separate explosions. Correction: The report says there was a fire first that caused the explosion.

    That second one.... Fuck me.

    That was a massive explosion!

Be interested to know the cause, not buying this accidental fireworks story.

The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear. Officials linked the explosion to some 2,700 tonnes of confiscated ammonium nitrate that were being stored in a warehouse at the port for six years.

I'm actually inclined to believe Israel's denial- it was unusually quick, and emphatic. Hezbollah? Maybe, but they are in the coalition Leb government with the Xtians. Disgruntled Sunni? Possible. Accident? Possibly, but helluva accident. I don't really believe in accidents, or miracles.

Accidental explosions are when a bomb maker is making a bomb or training others to use it when it goes off.

My house and shirt say this was no accident, but as ever if it suits the authorities then that's what it will be.

Do you really think terrorists would be sitting on that much explosives at one time?

This was a huge explosion, 2,700 tons of fertilizer stored in a port warehouse and exploding in a fire is a pretty logical assumption.

For reference, the Oklahoma City bombing was only 2 tons of fertilizer.

Now saying it was stored Ammonium Nitrate (fertilizer), exactly the same material and type of accident as the series of blasts in Tianjin China, a few years ago.

You would think that warehousing procedures would have been reviewed a little after explosions that were measured as 'earthquakes' killed over 170 people in Tianjin in 2015.

On August 12, 2015, a series of explosions killed 173 people, according to official reports, and injured hundreds of others at a container storage station at the Port of Tianjin.[2] The first two explosions occurred within 30 seconds of each other at the facility, which is located in the Binhai New Area of Tianjin, China.[3][4] The second explosion was far larger and involved the detonation of about 800 tonnes of ammonium nitrate (336 tons TNT equivalent).[5] Fires caused by the initial explosions continued to burn uncontrolled throughout the weekend, resulting in eight additional explosions on 15 August. Of the 173 fatalities, 104 were firefighters.
The cause of the explosions was not immediately known,[4] but an investigation concluded in February 2016 that an overheated container of dry nitrocellulose was the cause of the initial explosion.[6] The official casualty report was 173 deaths, 8 missing, and 798 non-fatal injuries.[7]

    HUGE

With the official consensus growing that the massive explosion was horrible accident due to neglect, President Trump's words on the tragedy once again presented that it could be something more. He said early in the evening that after meeting with top military commanders: "They seem to think it was an attack. It was a bomb of some kind."

Trump said he had been briefed by “our great generals” and that they “seem to feel” that the explosion was not an accident.

    Safety procedures ?!?
In a violence-wracked country where firing guns into the air at celebrations is seen as normal and good ?

The world basically came to an agreement to call it an accident. Then Trump opened his mouth

Ports are strategic assets. The first thing the Saudis did in Yemen was destroy the port. Lebanon is a fault line country.

The president was killed by bomb in 2005.
