They have a point. The reason for the justice system is to stop emotions deciding outcomes.

Let it rest on the evidence.

Of course their evidence will be related to some action on his part that they made up and which conveniently will rely on his word against theirs.

E.g. "He said under his breath that he was going to kill us".

He was seen trespassing in an area that has had recent burglaries, whilst out for a jog during Covid, outside his own neighbourhood, wearing a pair of baggy khaki shorts for jogging.(There's been allegations that he had a hammer too)

The hillbillies get in their truck, armed up, and phone the fuzz whilst trying to keep him in sight until the cops came.


They park 20 metres ahead of him and tell him they wanna speak to him, then he runs towards them, rather than away and tries to disarm the son of a rifle, whilst throwing his fists about.

He gets shot.

So if I am accosted, and can see they are armed, the one thing I will not think is that they won't shoot me because that would be racist and racism is illegal; and the next thing I would not do is run or even move in their general direction.
