Beginning to look like Mr Singh is the bad guy that will end up doing most time, with Pusey as the dumb pos that happened to be wrong time wrong place.

I expect someone will try to turn this into a race issue, probably his lawyer or some right thinking lefties; are Aussies demented like Europeans in pc matters?

Both of them, from Sydney Morning Herald

[Truck driver Mohinder Singh Bajwa, 47] Police have told The Age that an ice pipe was found in the cabin of the truck involved in the crash. They said a second pipe was found during a search of the driver's home on Wednesday.

    And

[Mortgage broker Richard Pusey] Mr Pusey was pulled over on Wednesday afternoon for allegedly travelling at 149km/h on the freeway and allegedly tested positive to ice and cannabis.

They both deserve whatever the law throws at them.

I would like to think, however, that Mr. Pusey is shown in nick the same compassion he showed the dying officer.

    Crazy story.

Why is the ice head 4 cop slaying Indian not at the forefront of the story?

Lessons to be learned by the police there in getting cars off dangerous motorways before pulling them over, or cordoning off lanes.

Although it seems like they wanna apportion all the blame on a suspect they left pissing on the safest part of the highway.

Eastern Freeway crash: Truck driver Mohinder Singh has apologised for killing four police officers

The man behind the wheel of a truck that smashed into four police officers and killed them on a Melbourne freeway has apologised.

A truck driver charged with killing four police officers on a Melbourne freeway last week says he is “genuinely sorry and saddened” about their deaths.
Mohinder Singh, 47, has expressed the sentiment through a statement released by his lawyer Steve Pica on Sunday.
Singh has been charged with culpable driving causing the deaths of Leading Senior Constable Lynnette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King and constables Glen Humphris and Josh Prestney as they were impounding a Porsche on the Eastern Freeway at Kew on April 22.

“Mr Singh is genuinely sorry and saddened that four people have lose their lives as a result of the collision,” the short statement reads.
“He is acutely aware of the impact upon the families, friends and work colleagues of those that lost their lives.”
Singh didn’t speak and kept his head down when he faced the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.
Mr Pica told the court Singh had anxiety and depression and may have had an undiagnosed psychiatric issue his whole life.
“Mr Singh remains distressed and saddened at the tragic consequences of his acts,” he said.

The 47-year-old from Cranbourne in Melbourne’s southeast did not apply for bail and is due to return to court for a committal mention on October 1.

The statement comes after police lined the side of the road and saluted Constable Glen Humphris on Saturday.
Victorian police escorted Constable Humphris’ body to the border of NSW at Albury-Wodonga, where their interstate colleagues continued the journey to the officer’s final resting place in Newcastle.
Funerals have also been held in line with coronavirus restrictions for Senior Constables Taylor and King.
A funeral for Constable Josh Prestney is set to be held on Monday.
A state memorial service will be held when coronavirus measures including a 10-person funeral limit, are lifted.

swerved off the road to avoid a "witch".

A truck driver involved in a Melbourne Freeway crash that killed four police officers in Victoria has said he swerved off the road to avoid a "witch".

The claim was made by Mohinder Singh, 47, when he was asked what caused him to veer into the emergency lane and collide with the officers, according to the Herald Sun.

The crash killed Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King, Constable Glen Humphis and Constable Josh Prestney. The officers were breathalysing Porsche driver Richard Pusey before the April 22 crash, who'd allegedly been caught speeding on the freeway.

Mr Singh, who is a father of two from Cranbourne, reportedly has an undiagnosed mental condition.

Richard Pusey selling Doncaster East home from prison

A million-dollar property owned by jailed Porsche driver Richard Pusey has hit the market as the mortgage broker remains locked up.

    NEWS.COM.AU1:33
Porsche driver Richard Pusey denied bail over Eastern Freeway crash

Richard Pusey has been denied bail after his alleged involvement in a horrific Melbourne crash which left four police officers dead.

Jailed Melbourne mortgage broker Richard Pusey is trying to sell part of his property portfolio from behind bars.
Pusey, 41, is accused of filming and taunting dying police on a busy Melbourne freeway. He has been denied bail over the incident which left four Victoria Police officers dead.
The Porsche driver, who owns a portfolio worth more than $12 million, has listed a Doncaster East townhouse with an asking price of between $950,000 and $1.045 million.
Title documents confirm the four-bedroom property at 1/6 Champion Street belongs to Mr Pusey.

The property is being described in real estate ads as an “elevated 7 room, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom town residence” that showcases “supreme living”.
Selling agency RT Edgar Manningham is taking expressions of interest until June 30, but Mr Pusey will not be out of prison until next year at the earliest after a magistrate refused bail last month.
Magistrate Johanna Metcalf said Pusey represents an “unacceptable risk of endangering the safety of members of the public”.
The 41-year-old was pulled over on the Eastern Freeway after allegedly speeding at 149km/h in a 100km/h zone.

While police were impounding Mr Pusey’s car, he was urinating by the side of the freeway. A truck, driven by Cranbourne man Mohinder Singh, crashed into the vehicles — two police cars and Mr Pusey’s Porsche.
Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King, Constable Glen Humphris and Constable Josh Prestney all died.
While LSC Taylor lay in the emergency lane dying, Mr Pusey allegedly filmed a three-minute video of her and three other officers who also died at the scene, at times “zooming in” on the officers.
He allegedly told her: “You f***ed my f***ing car.”

In court, Detective Senior Constable Aaron Price said Mr Pusey appeared unaffected by what he was seeing.
“There is certainly evidence to say one of the officers was alive (during filming),” Det Sen Const Price told the court.
“He filmed in a calm manner. There’s no evidence of shock in his comments.”
But Mr Pusey’s lawyer, Vincent Peters, argued his client was in shock and is still suffering the effects of what he saw.
“He witnessed it. It happened in front of him,” Mr Peters told the court.
“He is very much in need of ongoing psychological treatment.”

On the night of the crash, Mr Pusey sent an email to a Victorian police officer explaining what he had seen.
“I feel very unwell as what I saw was horrific,” he wrote. “I went to the doctors and he asked me to see him in the morning. Three males died instantly. (Sen Const Taylor) was in a state of shock. She was a nice lady. There was a doctor at the scene within seconds. I was behind the steel barrier just moments before the truck came through. I have to sleep now as my head is fuzzy.”

Eastern Freeway crash: Porsche driver Richard Pusey makes shocking claim in court

Richard Pusey, who allegedly taunted a dying police officer by saying “now you’ve f**cked my f**king car” has given a surprising explanation in court.

A Porsche driver accused of filming and taunting a dying police woman was speaking to himself, according to his lawyers.
Mortgage broker Richard Pusey is facing more than a dozen charges over the horrific fatal crash which left four police officers dead on Melbourne’s Eastern Freeway in April.
The 42-year-old is accused of recording the scene on his mobile phone instead of helping Senior Constable Lynette Taylor as she lay dying on the road.
“Now you’ve f**cked my f**king car,” he allegedly said at the time.
Barrister Dermot Dann QC told the Melbourne Magistrates Court his client was speaking “basically to himself” in the video.
“The way this charge is put against Mr Pusey is the fact there was filming of the accident scene and he said words basically to himself,” Mr Dann said.
Mr Dann said his client wanted to resolve the matter quickly but a particular sticking point was the charge of “outraging public decency”.
“We haven’t located any reported case in hundreds of years of legal history in this country,” Mr Dann said.
The lawyer argued the charge “can’t be made out legally, can’t be made out factually”.

“If this charge can be resolved, there’s a very real prospect the whole matter can be resolved,” Mr Dann said.
He hoped “most” of the charges would be dropped.
The Fitzroy man allegedly recorded the scene on his mobile phone instead of helping Senior Constable Lynette Taylor as she lay dying on the road.

Pusey appeared via video link wearing a green jumper and a blue face mask.
“That’s fine, thank you,” Pusey told magistrate Donna Bakos after she explained the next step in the court process.

He is facing charges including driving at a dangerous speed, reckless conduct endangering life, destruction of evidence, perverting the course of justice, failing to remain at the scene after a drug test and failing to render assistance.
Pusey was remanded until his next submissions-only committal hearing later this month.

Porsche driver Richard Pusey granted access to his own medical records

Richard Pusey, who allegedly filmed and taunted dying police, has made a specific request that was granted in court today.

Richard Pusey has been denied bail after his alleged involvement in a horrific Melbourne crash which left four police officers dead.

A Porsche driver accused of filming a dying police officer after a crash on a Melbourne freeway has been granted access to medical records for his case.
Mortgage broker Richard Pusey is facing more than a dozen charges relating to a horrific fatal crash that left four police officers dead on Melbourne’s Eastern Freeway in April.
The 42-year-old who didn’t appear via video link in the Melbourne Magistrates Court sought access to his medical records and a witness summons on Thursday.

Access to 177 pages of medical documents produced under subpoena were granted to his lawyer Chris McLennan by Magistrate Donna Bakos.
However, some additional pages were redacted because they could “identify others,” Ms Bakos said.
There were no details aired about what the records contained, and prosecutor Jason Ong did not seek to access them.
Police will allege Mr Pusey recorded the crash scene on his mobile phone instead of helping Senior Constable Lynette Taylor as she lay dying on the road.
“Now you’ve f**cked my f**king car,” the court heard Mr Pusey allegedly said at the time.

Mr Pusey is facing multiple charges including driving at a dangerous speed, reckless conduct endangering life, destruction of evidence, perverting the course of justice, failing to remain at the scene after a drug test and failing to render assistance.
Snr Const Taylor along with officers Sen-Constable Kevin King, Constable Josh Prestney and Constable Glen Humphris were killed in the crash in April.
Police will allege a truck veered into the group who were on the roadside after they pulled Mr Pusey over for speeding.

Mr Pusey’s lawyers have repeatedly told the court the mortgage broker wanted to resolve the case and avoid a trial.

But the court has previously heard one of the sticking points relates to the charge of outraging public decency.
His lawyers want the charge dropped and argued last month it was “so rare as to be unrecognisable”.
Mr Pusey is expected back in court next month.

A Porsche driver who allegedly filmed a dying policewoman following a horror Melbourne freeway crash failed to have a charge of outraging public decency thrown out.
Mortgage broker Richard Pusey faces multiple charges in relation to a crash that left four police officers dead on Melbourne’s Eastern Freeway on April 22.
Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King and constables Glen Humphris and Josh Prestney were killed in the crash involving a truck driven by another man.

The 42-year-old’s lawyers failed to have the contentious charge of outraging public decency thrown out after claiming it had never been used in Australia.

Richard Pusey, the driver of a Porsche who allegedly fled the scene of a truck crash on Melbourne's Eastern Freeway that killed four police officers, is taken away from his Fitzroy property by police. Picture: AAP Image/Michael DodgeSource:AAP

However other charges including fail to render assistance, destruction of evidence and two counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice were thrown out by magistrate Donna Bakos in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
However, there was enough evidence to support a conviction for the controversial charge of outraging public decency, Ms Bakos found.
Lawyers for the Porsche driver previously argued they failed to find any case in a hundred years in Australia but prosecutors disagreed.
The businessman is accused of recording the shock freeway scene on his mobile instead of helping Constable Taylor as she lay dying on the road.
“Now you’ve f..cked my f..king car,” he allegedly said at the time.
Mr Pusey is still accused of reckless conduct endangering death, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and possess drug of dependence and other less serious charges.
In total he is now facing 12 charges.
