Streatham: Man shot dead by police after stabbings in London

    Credit

A man has been shot dead by officers in a "terrorist-related" incident in south London, the Met Police have said.

It is believed two people have been injured in stabbings on Streatham High Road.

Gun shots were heard just after 14:00 GMT on Sunday. Police later said the scene had been "fully contained".
Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted that his thoughts were with the injured and others affected. He thanked emergency services for their response.

London Ambulance Service said it was treating a number of people at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police said it was awaiting updates on the condition of those injured.

Dave, little sympathy in the UK for anyone who gets tapped by the police now, apart from Sausages. If you walk around with a weapon and attempt to kill people then get the fuk.

As far as i am concerned carry on, not really interested in right or wrong in these cases fuk em. We are out of the EU Committee Court Of so called Justice so now we can put these fukers away.

Sorry, just spent too much time listening to bleeding heart lib/labs supporting an ever increasing prison population of killers getting their rights looked after.

Reachy the minorities minister will be along shortly if he's got over his fur ball.

It will be interesting to see if it's an act of terrorism or just some nutter with a knife.

    ... or both.

either way, a bullet in the head is the best way to deal with them.

He had just served half his sentence of three years for spreading hate propaganda.
He was high risk and was put under surveillance and followed by the armed undercover police.
My theory is that the paranoid extremist nutter realised he had a tail , he panicked and ran into a hardware shop stealing a £3.95 kitchen knife then started stabbing random individuals.
One was a mother with two children, the police rightly dispatched the twat and did their public service.
No need for more expensive trials and prison time.
Well done to the police, Job done.

Interesting that most of such high publicised cases in the middle of town are of known nutter under "sharp" surveillance. And after he did his shtick he is mostly shot dead, case closed...

Too bad the surveillance wasn't a bit sharper. Could have prevented those punctures. But then again, he'd still be alive.

Care to name a single one?

This is the first case in the UK that I know of where a perp was actually under surveillance, so your claim seems ridiculous.

(The 2019 london bridge attacker had been released from jail on licence, which is a different thing)

Just how much do such nutters cost the tax payer each year.

Shirely it's cheaper to keep them locked up than to pay for armed undercover police surveillance.

Which most taxpayers and members of the public would probably opt for if in charge of such things.

Not only were the four perpetrators of the 7/7 outrage NOT under surveillance by the police, they were completely unknown to the police, ie (I know I'd better spell it out for you) under no suspicion whatsoever.

The four suicide bombers were later identified as:

Mohammad Sidique Khan: aged 30. Khan detonated his bomb just after leaving Edgware Road tube station on a train travelling toward Paddington, at 8:50 am. He lived in Beeston, Leeds, with his wife and young child, where he worked as a learning mentor at a primary school. The blast killed seven people, including Khan himself.

Shehzad Tanweer: aged 22. He detonated a bomb aboard a train travelling between Liverpool Street station and Aldgate tube station, at 8:50 am. He lived in Leeds with his mother and father, working in a fish and chip shop. Eight people, including Tanweer, were killed by the explosion.

Germaine Lindsay: aged 19. He detonated his device on a train travelling between King's Cross and Russell Square tube stations, at 8:50 am. He lived in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, with his pregnant wife and young son. His blast killed 27 people, including Lindsay himself.

Hasib Hussain: the youngest of the four at 18, Hussain detonated his bomb on the top deck of a double-decker bus at 9:47 am. He lived in Leeds with his brother and sister-in-law. 14 people, including Hussain, died in the explosion in Tavistock Square.

Three of the bombers were British-born sons of Pakistani immigrants; Lindsay was a convert born in Jamaica.

Charles Clarke, Home Secretary when the attacks occurred, described the bombers as "cleanskins", a term describing them as previously unknown to authorities until they carried out their attacks.

You made a straightforward factually incorrect statement.

Now you're trying to be a smartarse to cover it up.

    Business as usual.

Who cares? Another escaped muslim mental patient put in the ground before he can kill anyone else.

I just wish they'd all martyr themselves and be done with it.
