So with choppers grounded in the area at the time because of bad weather, you have to think that pilot error is going to be the cause of this crash.

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva says his department's helicopters were grounded due to weather in the area where a helicopter carrying Kobe Bryant and eight other people crashed and burned Sunday morning.
Conditions were extremely foggy when the NBA legend's helicopter went down northwest of Los Angeles on a hillside in the city of Calabasas, killing everyone aboard.

You of all people are in no position to be making that determination.

Ironic too, as this 'nobody' according to you is dead and you are using it as a fillip to spread your patented brand of sneering misery. It really does say so much about you. Though doubtless the fears that drive you are actually well-founded -- few will notice your passing and few still will mourn it.

I've never watched a game of basketball in my life but know who Bryant was as does a goodly majority of the rest of the world given he was a global figure so a couple of old dudes proclaiming they never heard of him in an attempt to restate their credentials as the Statler and Waldorf of TD is kinda amusing.

Actually, I edited my post after I read several accounts of his rape of the 19 year old to whom he paid a considerable wedge in order to buy off a civil prosecution. Most unsavoury chap who freely admitted " I like to strangle a woman when I come. It's my thang".

No troll, believe me, he was a creep who fancied a bit of white meat for the taking.

Yeah pretty sure he never actually said that, freely or not.

And regardless the point of a couple of old white guys commenting on his relevancy being amusing is still the same.

    The federal investigation of the
helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant and eight others began to unfold Monday as experts examined the chopper's maintenance history and questioned why the pilot flew in foggy conditions.

Visibility was so poor Sunday morning that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's and Los Angeles Police departments had grounded their choppers.
An air traffic controller told the pilot of the helicopter with Bryant aboard shortly before the crash that he was flying below the level needed to be able to lend assistance with tracking, although there was no acknowledgment. The pilot was flying under flight rules that allowed him to navigate visually in conditions that were less than what would be the normal minimum, the recordings indicate. There was no mayday call.
"It seemed like very routine communication," said Gary Robb, an attorney in Kansas City, Missouri, who specializes in helicopter litigation.

When I was working at progera in PNG we used to fly out to Mt Hagen at the end of our roster in a helicopter.
One time the clouds were coming in and they were considering cancelling the flight.
All of us waiting to get out said no way lets go, anyway they did allow the flight but during the flight to Mt Hagen we were flying in for/cloud and the pilot was flying really slowly and very close to the ground so he could see.
I reckon I could have almost jumped out of the helicopter and safely landed on the ground.
Anyway it was quite scary and we did make it.
The pilot/s that flew that chopper probably knew every tree along the way they flew it so often.

So it is not unusual to fly a chopper in cloud.

Of course he didn't he also did not speak in any slang as was implied. In fact he was fluent in Italian and Spanish. Just a couple of old boomers making fools of themselves in this thread.

Kobe Bryant, whose native language is English, can also speak fluent Italian and Spanish. When he was six, Kobe moved with his family to Italy where his father played professional basketball. Kobe learne

taxexile and cuck are banging on about how people in the UK had never heard of kobe bryant before his death.

    doubtful.

i'd wager his name recognition was quite high with males under 40.

Yep, those around my age too.

I think I can name a handful of basketball players and the majority of the NBA teams purely by having absorbed them through osmosis and other than 5 min of being interested in basketball when a guy from my home town was drafted I've never even paid it any attention.

are you saying that white people can not comment on a thread about a black person, and that if a white person does comment about a black person then that white person is automatically racist. i have never mentioned the mans colour, yet ant and aging one have highlighted my assumed colour in a disparaging way.

the mans colour has never even been mentioned on this thread until aging one accused me of being racist yet posted up a racist meme.

you guys are fuck ups plain and simple.

basketball is not that popular in the uk and rarely if ever are games covered on tv or results or personalities mentioned on sport news.
it is his association with shoes that will have made his name known. same as that guy jordan.

i'm sure there are brits who follow usa basketball, and maybe some usa teams have played in exhibition games in the uk, but coverage is minimal.

american football was once slightly popular due to coverage on tv over a couple of seasons, but it never really took off.

american sports are about as popular in the uk as cricket is in the states. i.e. not very

I'm sure his family won't see it.
well not this week they wont, they're too busy reading the will.

I'd heard of him and I'm sure millions of Brits had, probably over the rape case on BBC news, like Magic Johnson with AIDS and who was the other one with died hair and used to dress like Danny La Rue?

If it looks like a duck...
an assumption based on what exactly.

i never mentioned his colour , his colour is of no relevance to me.

but his behaviour is sadly common amongst people of all colours once they achieve wealth and fame in a short space of time and are poorly mentored.

and if you and the other woke wankers here assume that the mere mention of colour is an insult you freely admit your own covert assumption that non-caucasian blood is somehow shameful, and that really is racist.

and people like you, self-promoting activists, repeating that all whites are racist, is in itself racist. feeding minorities the line that anyone with white skin carries, in the us metaphor, “a knapsack of invisible privilege” and despises you is the surest way of promoting intolerance.

Hamilton is a coloured chap doing his bonding in memoriam thing to show he's a bro and Beckham lived in the US.

Most folks, certainly we white, Indian and Muslim peeps hadn't a fucking clue who he was. Unless of course they were netball aficionados but dem's is rare around the Brit burgh, innit.
