I love the smell of iTards in the morning, yes they are facts, you simply don't know. It's ok to accept that you don't know shit about the Mac and everything around it. I have been a Mac user since 1984, and I worked for Apple at one stage, and of course I was a shareholder. So I do know a lot about Apple and their deviant little ways. Before, it was acceptable crap. Today it is not. Unless you are a toot or IT retarded. As clearly demonstrated in this thread

It’s a world you refuse to recognise since you were sacked from your Apple janitor job. You’ve been owned, yet again by superior intellect.
Get back to your MS abacus retard.

I certainly remember him being an avid Mac supporter - I guess he's bitter because he can't afford Apple gear anymore after losing his janitor role at Apple and the 3% discount that came with the job

for the record it was 30% discount, well it used to be

but now there are fewer than 1000 people working for Apple worldwide, the staff these days in the Apple stores are all low paid freelancers or part timers or independent workers, basically janitors

how do you think they could maintain their 90% marketing margin? target suckers with overpriced shit, while paying slave wages to their staff for hire

    Apple is modern slavery,

anyone buying Apple crap are supporting modern day slavery in the world, above all in China with overworked workers living in mines shops!!!

so all those "social oriented" snowflakes and "environment friendly" digital nomads can have their morning coffee at Starbucks while writing some boring blog that nobody will read except Google crawling bots

Is there anything else wrong with Apple apart from their customers?
The hardware? The OS? The GUI?

hardware is actually fine, sometimes over the top for nothing very useful, who needs a 8 core CPU for sending "likes" on Facebook? or write a blog on Wordpress? Mac users are not gamers, they are lame followers so 256MB of RAM and 500Mhz CPU should be the norm for them

The OS is a Mach microkernel based Unix, which at the time, was a very innovative system. But that was 20 years ago (remember MachTen with X11) and then Steve Jobs recycled his old shit from Next (crappy UI, stupid webobjects etc...) and of course the cream of crap software, the legendary iTunes

The GUI is lame and boring, no contrast, unusable from an advanced user perspective, but great for Millennials and old people like Panama Hat who have an attention span of about 5sec to memorize their GUI usage

MacOS is referred to what we call now "Premium Mediocrity", that is giving the illusion of greatness for 'normal' and 'average' people

see Facebook, Insta, and all Social Network app as perfect examples of "Premium Mediocrity", and of course iPhones and the whole suite of Apple craptoys (Airpods, Airbook etc...)

Which (in the case of imacs anyway ) add up to fuck all over their life span. I've only just recently replaced my 2011 iMac, which is really still working fine. I'd guess my new one will be with me for a long time as well.

I can't really say the same about a phone that would probably be replaced every 3 or 3 years ( or sooner if you lose )

I've never owned an iPhone, but I've also never found the need to call some one that does names and act like a retarded butt-turd-fly.

Totally agree. Hardware is excellent, design is excellent (and yes, that counts if you use the thing daily) and longevity is unparalleled

I do have oPhones but I also don't see the need nor use of calling those who don't names just because they have a different make of electronic items

You've never seen the queues of twats outside iFlop shops desperate to get the latest piece of shit phone with all the stuff they've copied off Samsung?

Maybe you live in the country.

hate to agree with Harry, but the queue and the stupid attitude of the toots at the Apple store is beyond ridiculous, it's borderline scary psycho, like being in a movie with body snatchers aliens

in terms of Hardware, apple products are fine and often overspecs. But despite what the usual iTards think, it's not the specs that is important or matters but the whole UX and GUI. How did iTards manage their facebook and wordpress 10 years ago? they were doing fine then with lesser specs so the whole thing is a scheme by Apple to buy more of their shit. It's basically Marketing.

With the usual gullible iTards (and Wintards, see the Win7 thread for a laugh), it's easy to scare them off into an upgrade because they are fooking clueless and don't know any better

how do you think Apple could reach 1T USD in MarketCap and have a cash stash of 200 billions USD? by giving value to their customers? or ripping them off with deviant marketing?

hardware specs are cheap, prices keep going down and quality improves, and yet Apple manages to keep increasing their prices, increasing their insane margins and fucking over stupid people

    Shareholders love Apple

Apple are using the same Intel cpu's as a MS Win machine and I can't see that there would be any difference in performance slow-down over the years between the two brands.
"Working fine" after 8 years is very subjective and is not a measure of how good a computer is, I can dig up a 10 year old MS Win machine from my junkbox and say that it works fine but I wouldn't want to use it today.

I only replaced my 2011 iMac for 1 reason.
I use it to edit 4K video and the GPU would sometimes run out of steam.

I had it set up as dual bootable. Windoze and MacOs.
Windoze was slow and horrible. I only ever needed it for 1 Windows program that I use. I stopped using the windows partition about 4 years ago and bought a new PC for that one program. But the MacOs still performed quite well until I started doing a lot of 4K video editing.

The beauty of MacOs, is that it doesn't have to be optimised to run a million different pieces of hardware.
It only has to be optimised for relatively few.

Another thing I like is that I never have to pay for operating system upgrades and I alway get the "Pro" version. There is no crippled "Home" version. The free version has everything included.

If you buy a PC with Windows Home, you don't get 12 features that are only available in Windows Pro. The big one missing for me is BitLocker. Microsoft doesn't think this security feature is needed for Home users.

why not? I am doing it all the time, and I haven't noticed any slow down for most software

actually WinXP on SSD boot faster than Win10 on SSD (normal boot), and for most basic things, I prefer XP

that said, Win10 is a huge progress over Win7 and Win8, and very acceptable

I only use Win7 for specifics apps, and I hate it.
