Tax, you frazzled old hypocrite, you want the woman to be paraded in sackcloth and ashes before the baying lumpen mob in order to satiate the ghastly lower end's obsession with revenge against foreigners.

Grief, it was an accident born out of an understandable, momentary lapse in concentration that just happened to result in an unfortunate fatality.

The family's expression of impotent rage in coming to terms with the accident is simply a catharsis and they will no doubt get over it in time - that the ghastly media and vacuous British public should dwell on it for their own vicarious pleasure is of course a typical British response and one that is as tawdry as it is mawkish.

Surprised you are aligning yourself with the gutter end of society on this one Tax.

Vacuous is the word I would use to describe your imbecilic rambling.

No-one wants her "paraded" anywhere you moron.

There is nothing stopping her quietly flying in and being interviewed by the police and meeting the family in private.

Should she have to attend magistrates court, the best the tabloid press can do is get a photograph of her in sunglasses walking from a car to the building. Her photograph is already in the public domain.

If she has a single shred of decency she will return and face the music, pay the fine and fly out again to be forgotten in days.

Rubbish, Tax, you've been bested and have retreated into the depths of your bathchair replete with tartan rug preparatory to your afternoon airing and cream cake, once you've checked your sugar levels and adjusted your catheter, that is.

I think you're confusing "besting" with "boring".

he seems to be of the deluded opinion that the parents understandable desire for some answers into the death of their son under a motor car travelling on the wrong side of the road is, because he considers them "lower end", is nothing more than an obsession for revenge based on racism.

i think that living in pattaya, possibly the finest example of lower-endism on the planet, for the past 10 years, has seriously impaired his judgement.

The circumstances of the accident are quite evident to anyone with the meanest of intelligence - the American left the base alone in her vehicle but in negotiating her journey she absent-mindedly and inadvertently drove in the wrong lane of the carriageway as if she were back in the US. This is a common occurrence to most folk at some time or other in their lives when they are driving abroad in a country where the highway codes may differ. Unfortunately, the victim was approaching from the opposite direction before she could rectify her mistake and they collided.

Frankly, I cannot see what the fuss is all about. The offender was not drunk or driving recklessly or dangerously but had a monetary lapse in concentration that at worst would have meant a charge of nothing more than driving without due care or careless driving leading to a fine. For understandable reasons the foreign authorities have removed her and her husband from the jurisdiction given the nature of his employment, an arrangement that is common practice.

The nexus between my analysis of the incident and where I live, the most exclusive address on the eastern seaboard, is not one that is immediately apparent.

well frankly, that's because you are a twat.

if it was your wingman or child that had been killed, i suspect the fog of confusion that is clouding your judgement would be immediately and irrevocably lifted, and you too would be demanding the offender faces up to both their moral and legal responsibilities.

so go and chew on that.

No-one removed her. She did a fucking runner you dopey twat.

That's what all the fuss is about.

If it had been a local they would have been interviewed, probably charged with careless driving and subsequently fined and banned, probably nothing more. She should return and face the music.

If the police were lied to regarding diplomatic immunity, then someone else needs to be facing the music as well.

I can imagine you saying that dressed as Les Dawson a la the old biddy with her formidable forearms folded under her equally humongous décolletage whilst addressing her chum over the washing line hanging next to the outside shithouse Tax, complete with flapping gums folded in that rictus of righteous indignation and harrumphing piety so prized by northern tykes asserting what they imagine to be their moral superiority,

    Ay oop, petal!

As she was driving on the wrong side of the road, do we know if the car was British or a US one (steering on the wrong side) brought over duty free as part of a diplomatic package?

Not necessarily relevant to the investigation but would go someway to explain the error.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.

The error is almost certainly down to force of habit, irrespective of the vehicle.

I did it myself in Karon once, rented a jeep having driven on the right for years, and promptly drove off the wrong way round Karon circle to excited screams from the renter. Mind you that was back in the day when Karon beach road was a dirt track, so there wasn't any traffic around to give obvious visual clues.

The run up the mudslide of a road to Patong in the wet in those days was a fucking hoot and you would have to take a run up at it to get to the tarmac.

I only ask because if driving a foreign car in a foreign country it is fairly easy to understand that the driver has to be in the centre of the road irrespective of the car or country. Unless the car is not from that country, i.e. the wheel is on the wrong side.

It would seem unlikely that she was driving a British car positioning herself next to the curb or grass verge.

Maybe you should keep your stupid waffling to silly threads that don't merit any serious conversation. Like "Eurasia topics" for example.
