Of course with baldy orange cunto in charge no-one is going to trust the seppos on this one.

The United States is offering cash rewards to captains of Iranian tankers in a bid to “disrupt and deter illicit oil exports” of the Iranian regime as part of their “maximum pressure” campaign, a report by the Financial Times shows.
According to the report, the Indian captain of the Adrian Darya 1 – formally known as the Grace 1 – received an email from the US Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook in which he was offered several million dollars if he steered the Iranian vessel toward a country that would seize it on behalf of Washington.
“With this money you can have any life you wish and be well-off in old age,” Hook wrote in one of several emails to Kumar seen by the Financial Times. “If you choose not to take this easy path, life will be much harder for you,” Hook also warned in the message.
According to Hook, the offer was part of the US State Department’s “Rewards for Justice” program established in 1984 in which the US Secretary of State is authorized to offer and pay cash rewards to persons with counter-terror information.
“The majority of reward offers are up to $5 million; however, all reward payments are made at the sole discretion of the Secretary of State,” according to the State Department.

It appears 4 more tankers have been stopped, boarded and taken by pirates.

After their tankfuls of oil/gasoline or possibly a "news Item" to swamp the channels on a slow day.

It was said the regime leader would at the port to inspect the cargo.

Iran on US ship seizure claim: Cheap propaganda doesn't deflect from US failure at UN

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif scoffs at claims that the United States has seized four Venezuela-bound Iranian tankers, clarifying that despite the rumors, the American act of piracy never involved any Iranian vessels.

“’Pirates of the Caribbean’ have their own judges and courts now,” Zarif tweeted on Saturday, apparently deriding the judgment underpinning the rumors and attempts at representing Iran as the vessels’ owner country.

“Sadly for them, stolen booty wasn't Iran's. Fuel was sold F.O.B. Persian Gulf,” he added. F.O.B. stands for freight on board, a shipping expression that, when used along the name of an actual place, shows what party actually bears responsibility for a given seaborne cargo.

“Ship and flag weren't ours either,” Zarif reminded.
The Wall Street Journal had on Thursday cited US officials as saying that the US government had for the first time seized vessels allegedly carrying Iranian gasoline to Venezuela. It said the US had recently seized four vessels, called Luna, Pandi, Bering, and Bella, in the high seas and they were being transferred to Houston, Texas.

“Hollow, cheap propaganda doesn’t deflect from miserable failure of US diplomatic malpractice at UN,” the top diplomat noted.
The remarks echoed those made by President Hassan Rouhani earlier, in which the chief executive said that by manufacturing such reports, the US was trying to deflect attention from a historic defeat it suffered at the UN Security Council against Iran on Friday.

The episode saw 13 of the Security Council’s 15 members striking down a resolution forwarded by Washington that sought to prevent legal removal of an anti-Iran arms embargo that is expected to expire in October."

    FOB = free on board

Free On Board (FOB) is a shipment term used to indicate whether the seller or the buyer is liable for goods that are damaged or destroyed during shipping. "FOB shipping point" or "FOB origin" means the buyer is at risk and takes ownership of goods once the seller ships the product.

And now when UNSC did not agree with the arms embargo on Iran? Actually, the Dominican Republic did their best to vote for, and only 2 were against, however many others (11) did not know how to decide...

Security Council Announces Failure to Adopt Text on Iran Sanctions by 2 Against, 2 in Favour, 11 Abstentions

The Security Council announced on 14 August its failure to adopt a draft resolution aimed at extending arms-related restrictions on Iran, set to expire in October under resolution 2231 (2015).

In an evening videoconference* meeting, the text failed — by a vote of 2 against to 2 in favour, with 11 abstentions — to garner the required number of votes for adoption.

Owners of Iranian fuel seized by U.S. assert rights to cargoes

    September 2, 2020 / 6:32 AM / Updated 6 hours ago

"The owners of four Iranian fuel cargoes that were confiscated by U.S. authorities last month mounted a challenge to the seizure, asserting their rights to control the cargo, according to a court filing on Tuesday. The U.S. Justice Department last month announced the seizure of 1.116 million barrels of fuel it said was destined for Venezuela. The oil industries of Venezuela and Iran, both OPEC nations, are under U.S. sanctions, and Iran earlier this year irked Washington by sending gasoline cargoes to Venezuela.

In the Tuesday filing with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, United Arab Emirates-based Mobin International Limited said it was the owner of the cargo aboard the Bella and Bering tankers, UK-registered Oman Fuel said it owned the cargo aboard the Pandi and Luna tankers, and Oman-registered Sohar Fuel said it part-owned the cargo aboard the Luna.

The companies said they had sold the cargoes onwards to United Arab Emirates-based Citi Energy FZC, but payment was due upon delivery, which was disrupted by the seizure.

“Therefore, Claimants Mobin, Oman Fuel, and Sohar Fuel retain a financial stake in those agreements and have immediate right to title, possession, and control of the Defendant Properties,” the companies wrote.

Citi Energy did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent after normal business hours.
The companies also disputed the assertion that the shipments were bound for Venezuela.

“At the time they were seized, the Defendant Properties were destined for Trinidad for sale to customers in Peru and Colombia,” the companies wrote in the filing.

Venezuela shares a maritime border with the Caribbean dual-island nation of Trinidad & Tobago, and a land border with Colombia. "

    Hilarious.

I expect they will be told, like all other companies that don't get paid, they sue the people that haven't paid them for the goods they delivered.

Think of it, Hoohoo. Say I buy a telly from you and then "sell" it to someone else who doesn't pay me, so I don't pay you.

Are you going to let me off and sue the person I sold it to?

Was your TV being stolen while it was on its way to the buyer?

    Which buyer?

You're going to confuse yourself if you don't think this through.

Let me try and keep it simple for you.

I buy a telly off you. You give me the telly. I don't pay you.

Who owes you for the telly?
