I have just bricked my xiaomi tablet with some overzealous ticking of wipe boxes when using TWRP and have spent 2 days reading and trying stuff , but it relocked the bootloader so I am pretty well fcuked - even opening it up and shorting the EDL testpoints has not worked for me - so I will be taking it to a service centre in Bangkok and getting them to flash it with the standard rom before flashing it again
not impressed with the hoops required to just through just to get the bootloader unlocked the first time and now because I do not have an OS I can not use the same route

one of the reports states a secret service agent plugged the thumb drives into his computer - wtf - and one started to install software - which is normal for chinese usb drives
if the signal detector is actually a deauther then it might point to more nefarious intentions - but she would have been carrying it
