I would assume that the baby has been whisked away to a foster / adoption parent. I hope they remember to register the baby as San Carlos Apache tribe member though to keep the monthly casino pay checks to the kid for life. Otherwise that would be a double kick in the nads for it.

If having a baby didn't wake her up though, I'm not certain anything will.

Tribes share the profit (well, some of it) from their casinos on "indian land" to the blood members of the tribe. From a yearly stipend to some getting a monthly allowance. Can be a lot of cash in smaller tribes, or a piddly amount for larger.

It does seem an awful long time to keep someone on life support. Are there no rules for when to switch these machines off?

I'm pretty sure the woman didn't suffer any trauma from the unlawful sex. I hope the boy turns out to be famous in some way.

Just to point out, that it says she is in a vegatative state, not that she is on life support. With persistent vegatative states, some brain function remains ( like that controlling breathing, swallowing etc), it is the higher brain function (awareness, cognition ) that are damaged.

The downlow: probably no machine support to turn off.
