Nothing is impossible in this world.

The announcement by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea Presidents, following their upcoming meeting, stating that they, DPRK, ROK and China, have agreed and signed a Peace Treaty. Whist smiling and displaying the Treaty, with THE LORD and Uncle Xi stood slightly behind their shoulders, would certainly be an monumental moment.

As the United Nations Command (UNC), a certain ameristan General Vincent K. Brooks, is currently considered the "competent representative of the Government of the United States" it will be up to him to accept and sign the agreement, or not.

As defined in the Armistice Agreement for the Restoration of the South Korean State (1953), signed by the DPRK, the UNC and China.

    "Article V

    Miscellaneous

    61. Amendments and additions to this Armistice Agreement must be mutually agreed to by the Commanders of the opposing sides.

    62. The Articles and Paragraphs of this Armistice Agreement shall remain in effect until expressly superseded either by mutually acceptable amendments and additions or by provision in an appropriate agreement for a peaceful settlement at a political level between both sides."

Unless of course the ameristani politicians wish to impose their will on the ROK's democratically, elected, government and it's elected President's decision.

By doing so it would announce to the world it has once again reneged on it's previous commitments and considers itself above the UN.

It appears the, for now, two Korea's together along with the UNC. are taking their individual way.

Despite US Opposition, Joint Liaison Office Opens On Shared Korean Border

North Korea ready to walk away from Trump summit.-800x-1-jpg

"On Friday an unprecedented development occurred that could put the Korean peninsula on a permanent trajectory of stability should talks between the North and South continue their positive direction, and which signals an intensification of diplomacy between the two.
South Korea has opened a new liaison office in the North Korean city of Gaeseong (or alternately Kaesong), which is to allow for 24-hour communication between the two sides for first time since war. The office is located inside an industrial park — and Gaeseong is just inside the North's side of the border.

It's being described as allowing "around-the-clock" communication between rival officials on either side the military demarcation line, and could avoid the potential for future misunderstandings or provocations, and further comes amidst a parallel diplomatic push by the United States and its allies for complete North Korean denuclearization.
When the proposal was being finalized this summer, however, the US was opposed to the plan, with the State Department last month saying progress between the two Koreas must occur "in lockstep" with talks on the north's denuclearization.

    According to Bloomberg:

The Aug. 20 announcement of the office’s establishment had raised concerns in the U.S. about whether it would violate sanctions meant to penalize Pyongyang over its nuclear arsenal. But on Thursday, the United Nations Command said it had approved South Korean vehicles and personnel to cross the border into North Korea and begin constructing a communications center at the Gaeseong complex.

Meanwhile the United Nations welcomed the development, with UNC commander Vincent Brooks saying in a statement that communication between two sides is “a way to prevent incidents or crises.”

North Korea Can Speak With Seoul 24 Hours a Day at New Office

"South Korea opened a liaison office at an industrial park it sponsors in the North Korean city of Gaeseong on Friday, allowing rival officials to communicate around-the-clock for the first time since the start of the Korean War.Seoul’s Unification Ministry said more than 50 South Koreans crossed the border to Gaeseong to attend the opening ceremony. It said it hoped the new communication channel would ease tensions between the two countries, aiming toward bringing about denuclearization of North Korea.

“A new chapter in history is starting here today,” the ministry’s chief Cho Myoung-gyon told North and South Korean officials and other guests at the ceremony. “It is a symbol of peace made jointly by South and North Korea.”
The two Koreas agreed to open the office during a historic April summit between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who are scheduled to meet for a third time next week in Pyongyang. The office is among the initiatives supported by Moon -- including August reunions between families separated by the 1950-53 war -- as he attempts to build on a rapprochement with Kim.

During his visit to the North Korean capital, Moon will likely seek to narrow the differences between Kim and U.S. President Donald Trump, who have disagreed on the pace of both Kim’s nuclear disarmament and a peace declaration between the Koreas, since their historic June meeting in Singapore. The U.S. has said it is preparing for a second summit with North Korea."

Just watching on Arirang a live airing of departure of SK president Moon and his entourage to NK Pyeongyang, the first InterKorean summit in 11 years between South and North Korea.

(Whilst yesterday we could watch live a heated discussion from UNSC in NYC between US and Russian delegates when the Nikki Haley accused Russia of interferring in the "humanitarian" sanctions against NK...)

Well looks like they don't need baldy orange cunto or Pompeo any more. I wonder if baldy orange cunto can fuck it up?

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has welcomed South Korea's president Moon Jae-in to Pyongyang for their historic summit.
The two leaders smiled and hugged each other as they met at Sunan International Airport, joined by their wives, at the start of the three-day visit.
They were greeted by thousands of cheering North Koreans waving flowers, North Korean flags and a blue-and-white map symbolising a unified peninsula.
Mr Moon is only the third South Korean leader to visit North Korea's capital for a meeting between the two countries since the end of the Second World War.

^ More from your excellent site.

    Today's updates:

    N. Korea agrees to shut down its Dongchang-ri missile engine site: Pres. Moon

"President Moon and I have agreed to make the Korean Peninsula a land of peace, free of nuclear threats."

And that agreement comes with some concrete measures.

"North Korea has agreed to permanently close the Dongchang-ri engine testing and missile launch site in the presence of experts from relevant countries. In line with corresponding measures by the United States, North Korea says it will go further by, for example, scrapping the Yongbyon nuclear facility."

It's the first time for the nuclear issue to even be discussed as an official agenda at the inter-Korean summit, let alone for detailed measures to come out of the talks.

President Moon credited Kim for keeping his promises made with U.S. President Donald Trump at the first-ever North Korea-U.S. summit in Singapore.
The promises being, no more nuclear or missile tests.

The South Korean President also called for progress in North Korea-U.S. negotiations, particularly by continuing to exchange letters.
The two Koreas will continue cooperating closely with the U.S. and the rest of the international community to achieve the common goal of denuclearization.

And with that, he says the two Koreas are not far from reaching their final destination of building peace on the peninsula, that's without nuclear weapons or nuclear threats

    Park Hee-jun, Arirang News.

    S. Korean leader gives deep bow to bewildered N. Korean citizens

    Video at site.

"As President Moon walked down a red carpet laid in front of the crowd, he showed his gratitude for the welcome with a deep bow.

Although this is common courtesy in South Korea,… for North Koreans, a deep bow is only reserved as a sign of upmost respect for someone in a position of authority.

Moon's interaction with the crowd didn't stop there.

In contrast to Kim Jong-un's wave of the hand, the South Korean president approached the citizens and shook hands with several people in the front row.

North Koreans could be taken aback by this, as it would be unthinkable for them to receive a bow, let alone come into contact, with a world leader.

It would be even more unimaginable if it was the North Korean leader, who is a deified figure.

Pyongyang's state media aired a program a few years ago, on the basic mannerisms that North Koreans should follow.
It says a deep bow of nearly 90 degrees which President Moon displayed, is only to be used for the North Korean leader and his family.

Political experts say Moon's modest demeanor could have a more powerful and lasting effect in changing the North Korean public's perspective of the South than millions of propaganda leaflets."

Foreign reaction to the Pyeongyang Joint Agreement

"The world's media were all interested in what the leaders of the two Koreas had to say.
Soon after the leaders announced the details of their agreement, U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted about their announcement

He said that "Kim Jong-un has agreed to allow Nuclear inspections, subject to final negotiations, and to permanently dismantle a test site and launch pad in the presence of international experts. In the meantime there will be no Rocket or Nuclear testing. Hero remains to continue being returned home to the United States. Also, North and South Korea will file a joint bid to host the 2032 Olympics. Very exciting "

British newspaper The Guardian, reported that North Korea had agreed to shut down its missile test sites. It emphasized that Moon Jae-in said the two leaders have agreed to steps that will lead to a "nuclear-free peninsula".

Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun also focused its report on North Korea agreeing to invite foreign experts to verify its permanent scrapping of its missile sites. It also highlighted the importance of this summit, saying "More than in their previous encounters, when the mere fact of meeting and resuming a dialogue was seen as a major step forward, Moon is under pressure to leave Thursday with some concrete accomplishments."

CNN reported that South and North Korea have commited to an 'era of no war', taking a step closer to peace by signing a joint military agreement that removes the threat of conflict on the Peninsula. The joint military agreement was signed right after the Pyeongyang Joint Agreement.

Most foreign media highlighted the fact that North Korea has agreed to shut down its missile test sites since progress toward denuclearizing North Korea is what the rest of the world is most interested in."

The two Koreans will solve the problem. goldilocks will be given a moments faux applause which will allow him to "claim" victory. The world is witnessing who actually are the driving stars.

Who is illustrating, by acts a deeds the desires of both the Korean peoples. Certainly not goldilocks and his dishonourable, mutinous crew.

Any slow downs caused by goldilicks will only solidify the two Korean leaders ability to take further steps. In one of the videos when the ROK leader and wife touched down, the leaders both waved at the crowd in unision. Then the ROK leader bowed and shook hands with the masses. The reporter pointedly suggested that an act like that by a government official was unheared of in DPRK and one could see the DPRK leader somewhat perplexed.

Life is changing by the new displayed actions and words of, currently, two sovereign countries leaders. China, Russia and ameristan should welcome the new status of both countries and offer positive support. The other UNSC members will follow their lead. ameristan no longer stands above the world, it can either accept a joint position or slip off the table all together.

China welcomes DPRK, ROK consensus at Pyongyang summit

"China welcomed the consensus reached between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) Wednesday to improve inter-Korean ties, ease military tensions in the region and advance the denuclearization process and peace talks on the Korean Peninsula. "China, as a close neighbor, always supports the efforts of the north and south of the peninsula to improve their ties and push forward reconciliation and cooperation through dialogue and consultation," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said at a regular press briefing, commenting on the Pyongyang summit between leaders of the DPRK and the ROK.

The DPRK's top leader Kim Jong Un and visiting ROK President Moon Jae-in Wednesday signed a joint declaration, agreeing to take additional steps toward making the Korean Peninsula free of nuclear weapons and threats of armed conflict.

China welcomes the consensus and appreciates the efforts of both sides to this end, Geng said.

China hopes that the two sides will continue to implement the consensus, endeavor to promote interaction and cooperation and play a positive role in achieving a political solution to the peninsula issue as well as lasting peace in the region, said the spokesperson."

China welcomes DPRK, ROK consensus at Pyongyang summit - People's Daily Online

It is the shared aspiration of the people on the peninsula and across the region to realize peace and prosperity, as well as reconciliation and cooperation, Geng said.

Let Koreans Settle Their Own Problems

"Springtime in Korea. Peace and love have erupted all over the mountainous peninsula as the leaders of the two rival nations seek to end the nearly seven decades of hostility between them.

One can’t underestimate the passionate longing felt by most Koreans on both sides of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) for some form of reunification – or at least reattachment – of the two nations. Amazingly, the 1950-53 Korean War has never been ended by a peace treaty so a simmering state of war exists between North and South Korea in spite of past attempts to end it. During the war, 33,686 Americans died and 128,600 were wounded, and the two Koreas suffered over 2 million dead. Chinese casualties were heavy.

The DMZ is probably the most heavily militarized frontier in the world, with hundreds of thousands of tough troops and thousands of tanks and guns confronting one another. I’ve seen few more impressive military sights. Only the Pakistani-India border in Kashmir offers a similar martial display and menace.

Kudos go to the leaders of North and South Korea for de-escalating the tensions between them. Both deserve a Nobel peace prize. Kim Jong-un and Moon Jai-in have made a great leap forward by trying to end the Korean War. Most Koreans – except for hard rightwing anti-Communist Christians in South Korea – are thrilled.

As a very long-time observer and friend of Korea, I too am elated by the Moon-Kim friendly summit and wish it success. But I’m also worried by the role of Washington.

President Donald Trump certainly broke the ice with North Korea and played a key role in setting peace talks into motion. Kudos to him.

But I’m also apprehensive that the so-called de-nuclearization issue may ruin the effort to end the Korean War. Washington demands that North Korea account for and then dismantle its nuclear weapons under US supervision. This is the key American position.

Interestingly, while making these demands, the US is pushing ahead with a new `smaller’ nuclear warhead program, the B61- Model 12, designed as a deep earth penetrator and for use against tactical targets. This $1 trillion program is designed for war-fighting, not deterrence. Critics warn it will make a nuclear war much more likely.

North Korea, which has a small number of long-ranged, nuclear tipped missiles of undetermined reliability, says its will ‘de-nuclearize’ to meet Washington’s demands. But why? North Korea is demanding ‘reciprocity’ from the US. So far, there is no sign of the US agreeing to shut its air bases in South Korea or Japan, remove nuclear weapons from North Asia, or remove some or all of its 28,500 troops in South Korea.

The Trump administration has convinced itself that a one-way deal with North Korea is possible. Its resident hardliners, John Bolton and Mike Pompeo, are believed to be hostile to any US concessions. They want North Korea to unconditionally surrender, not negotiate. Both are neocons who fear North Korea’s nukes might find their way to Israel’s mideast enemies. A deal between Washington and Pyongyang under President Bill Clinton was sabotaged by the neocons for this very reason.

North Koreans have been eating grass for a generation to acquire nuclear weapons. Would they give them up just for a slap on the back from Washington? Would China push Pyongyang in this direction? Highly doubtful. The world is only talking to Kim Jong-un because he has and can deliver nuclear weapons.
Even a lot of South Koreans are proud of Kim for making the mighty US back off.

South Korea’s president, Moon, has done bravura work in his new ‘sunshine’ policy.’ He is a courageous and clever man and a welcome change from South Korea’s former rightwing leaders who were totally under the thumb of the US. Koreans will do much better at settling their many differences if they are allowed to work out their problems without heavy-handed interference by outsiders, be they Americans or Chinese.

A good way to begin would be for the US to end its punishing economic warfare against North Korea and permanently halt its provocative military exercises each fall.

Two great powers, the US and Japan, are not eager to see Korea reunified into a powerhouse with 80 million industrious people. They will continue stirring the Korean pot."

"Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- A joint press release was made public at the three-party negotiations of vice foreign ministers of the DPRK, Russia and China held in Moscow on Oct. 9, 2018.

The joint press release is as follows:

Choe Son Hui, vice foreign minister of the DPRK, Igor Morgulov, vice foreign minister of the Russian Federation, and Kong Xuanyou, vice foreign minister of the People's Republic of China, had three-party negotiations on the Korean peninsula issue in Moscow on Oct. 9, 2018.

The three parties reached a consensus of view that all the issues regarding the Korean peninsula should be settled in a peaceful, political and diplomatic way.

They highly appreciated the efforts of the countries concerned for political solution to the Korean peninsula issue and expressed support for the negotiations between the DPRK and the U.S.A. and between the north and the south of Korea for allaying fears and mending fences with each other.

The three parties reaffirmed the will for denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and establishment of a peace regime there.

The three parties shared the understanding that such processes should be ensured to progress in a stage-by-stage and simultaneous way while giving precedence to confidence-building and that they should be accompanied by corresponding measures by the countries concerned.

Taking notice of the significant, practical steps for denuclearization taken by the DPRK, the three parties reached a consensus on the need for the UNSC to activate the process of adjusting sanctions upon the DPRK in time.

The three parties re-clarified their common stand against independent sanctions.

Also, at the negotiations they discussed in detail the necessity for consolidating bilateral or multilateral cooperation between the relevant countries in order to establish a lasting peace regime on the Korean peninsula.

The three parties agreed to continue dialogue."

It appears the UN should appoint a new negotiation team. The team members to be determined by the UNSC.
