^I'm not superior at all, but I was replying to the put downs.

By the way, the blue house is what I was told when I visited the demarcation line.. but it is possible you have never heard of it referred that way.

yes, pressure from china on nk, and the most severe sanctions the world has ever seen on nk, pushed by the trump admin.

also, i'm guessing china didn't think trump was bluffing when he said he'd basically blow parts of nk off the map, if nk didn't fall into line. china finally started thinking a united korea on its border isn't that bad compared to a basket case (after u.s. attack) and nk refugees fleeing into china.

IMO, the best choice for nk is to make a long term plan for reunification. it'll be good in the long run for south korea, too (like germany).

It's an informal term for the residence of the S. Korean President in Seoul. Didn't you live in Seoul for years?

Robust discussion is allowed, but posters should stay on topic and refrain from personal attacks.

*I will be reporting some of Davis's attacks among others.

tb, you give the insecure little boys on td the chance to feel smart/strong when they call you names.

in their real lives, they would never behave this way; of course, they're just revealing their real selves on td.

that being said, you make it easy to attack you with your flip flops on the photo comp thread and your generally superficial posts (not putting much thought into them).

How sad though that people are like this when I've done nothing to them. If they don't like me they should ignore me, but that would be too easy eh. I think I put a lot of thought FT and you should know that by now.

No good enough ,reason FT. No reason for this awful behavior that Davis and a few others expose. Why aren't people saying things to him? Is he a mod? Not acceptable imo. I don't understand why some good men would not stand up for me when people are attacking me? It shows that many of you are cowards.

funnily enough, a post a.o. made more than 10 years ago when i started posting made sense.

he said something to the effect of:

"pausing before you push the post button is something that i try to put into practice."

tb, better to spend your time making 3-5 great posts on the evenings you post on td, rather than 15-20 quickly written posts.

    just a suggestion.

^That makes no sense at all ? Anyway, I'm off. No way I'm posting on news threads anymore. Just a sad state of people like OhOh, Harry, and a few others that think they know it all and have no room for other people's opinions. Cya. Your loss.

Yes, I'm not knocking your optimism frt, but surely it has to be acknowledged after a decade of her witless drivel that this really is the best that she can do.

Agreed, although then we will probably have a nuclear armed Korean peninsula. I doubt china will like that much (good), and wonder if japan will follow suit.

This Kim seems a bit smarter than the others, although his MO doesn't vary that much. His cross border walkabout was a masterstroke of diplomacy actually, and a desperate west is seemingly lapping it up. But the players in this game are really NK, SK, & PRC- with the US standing guard over SK, for now.

I don't believe Trumps spleen plays any more part in this game than the presidents before him.
I suspect the many inhabitants of Seoul are more bothered by his idle threats than Nth Koreans.

As I said earlier, it's more likely that Kim is manipulating things because he realises what a stupid, narcissistic, malleable fool is in the Whitehouse.

Umm...yeah, I did know that. Only 'up to a point' though, isn't it. It's pretty much all just nice talk so far.

Not the time to be throwing your 'Make America Great Again' cap in the air yet.

Great progressive steps for Korea [as a whole], even if all this comes across suspiciously surreal.

So.......hypothetically, if the two Koreas were to politically/socially unify as one, in time, would an American military presence be required or necessary?

After all, if there's not an invented boogieman to be concerned with would it not be logical for the U.S. to piss off?
That is, unless, they find a way to fabricate a justification for their tenured occupation.
This peace/unification shit certainly doesn't play well throughout the American Corporate/Military Industrial Complex and Empire.

Sorry to hound you TB but this is an entirely new level of ridiculous.

Will you ever cop to the fact that you don't know everything about everything?

Firstly, do you actually talk like this? Secondly, you make incredible generalizations. Where did you receive this information? A wide spectrum of positions exist and an impressive assortment of S. Koreans not only recognize but actively push for reunification and a growing number would even be willing to sacrifice their own democracy in order to do it. "Reunification at any cost."
