Obviously not which is exactly what would make China very happy.

Way early days so far from a done deal.

Hell both countries are technically still at war so before anything close to reunification can begin a peace treaty needs to be hammered out. Bit of a mess as the armistice was not signed by either nation. It was an agreement signed by military leaders. Commander UN forces (USA), Commander North Korea and Commander Chinese forces.

The ageement between Kim and Moon reads like a corporate vision statement. No specifics. Will be years to agree on details. Hope it can this time be done but we are talking years.

    Unificating the time zones....

North Korea to align with South's time zone as first practical step toward reconciliation

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea will shift its time zone 30 minutes earlier to align with South Korea starting May 5 “as a first practical step for national reconciliation and unity,” the North’s state media said Monday.

It might not sound like much, but that is a significant concession.

I wonder how the old bag will report it.

You suggest you have stories, hangeul, public school teaching, the "only felang in the village". Expand on them tol us, put up some travel threads most like those types of threads

But no it's "Oh dear she's off on another one".

Try discussing all your "achievements" instead of boasting. You have yet to tell us of your "experience"or is it beneath you. You actually may be welcomed, but no, your boasts will continue because, as your finding out, many have and maybe live now as, the "only felang in the village", in Thailand it's not so unusual. Many have deep pockets of real achievements, you boast you have something but are unable or reluctant to tell us any of them.

That is why some here call you out, time after, time.

The DPRK alleged nuclear deterrent is the thing which has made all take notice. The ROK president is the game changer. Until he arrived there has been no movement towards a Korean solution. Maybe the prize is his and the DPRK's Great Leader to share. The blonde buffoon is a bystander reacting to others moves, as usual.

Presumably it will be the UN, not sure who speaks for the UN, The DPRK, China and ROK who will sign the peace treaty then?

DPRK moving away from the China's influence.

Kim Il Sung's game was to play USSR against the PRC to get bread and guns, maybe the same game just different players. I really don't think fatties gestures are genuine.

You need to add some "second-person plural present indicatives" for effect and forgot to add, "I'm never posting here again, arseholes".

The US, China and North Korea signed the Armistice; South Korea refused.

All four would need to negotiate a formal Peace Treaty. Also, it would be nice if the US formally recognised North Korea, although it has implicitly done so by not vetoing the relevant UN declaration of NK as a member.

Then there is the small matter of restoring diplomatic relations.

But none of these are real dealbreakers IMHO.

time to liven things up this thread.

obama got a nobel peace prize before bombing libya and putting spooks into syria to support the terrorists fighting assad (causing a civil war that has killed hundreds of thousands and displaced millions).

    now this:

Trump Should Win The Nobel Peace Prize, South Korea's Moon Says

NPR's Korean interpreter Se Eun Gong translates the quote from the original Korean as, "It's President Trump who should receive the Nobel Prize. We only need to take peace."

ameristan acted for the UN, then from a more powerful position, than now. I suspect a unanimous vote from the UNSC will be called for to legalise the situation this time.

You know to add some strength to any treaty, rather than relying on an amerstani, here today gone tomorrow, bought and paid for, clique.

My apologise I was just "sexing up" my reply for my amusement.

Now, for clarity, how or why do you believe DPRK would want to move away from "China's influence"?

Currently the have a mutual defence agreement, wouldn't that be worth keeping? China has some recent experience of raising millions of it's citizens out of poverty, is that not something that DPRK needs assistance with? China also has oodles of cash wanting a productive role, a useful tool for DPRK to utilise?
