Think he is more focused on engineering this sh$tfight to stay in power. We've seen it before.

Imho this could be sorted out in a month or two if the US just stopped providing financial/weapons support and prevented financial transactions involving the Israel. Until Israel is faced with an existential threat to its existence it will never negotiate fairly or in good faith.

Hadn't the warship attacked years ago in Gulf of Tonkin also a right to defend itself?

    Palestine bombs Israeli airport

    World Veteran 13.05.2021

"Hamas struck Israel's Ramon airport near the Red Sea resort town of Eilat. This disrupts international air traffic with Israel.

Earlier, Israel decided to reroute passenger flights from Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv) to Ramon Airport. After this airport was in the war zone, plans must change.

The American companies United Airlines, American Airlines and Delta Airlines have already refused to fly to Israel.

Following them, flights are canceled by European airlines.

They were joined by British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Spanish Iberia and German Lufthansa.
And the Emirati air carrier Flydubai continues to partially operate daily flights from Dubai to Tel Aviv.

Air carriers suspended flights in a timely manner.

Ramon Airport is attacked by Ayyash 250 missiles. The Palestinians claim that these missiles are capable of hitting any target. The rocket weighs 550 pounds and has a range of over 155 miles. The missile has great destructive power.

A spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades called on all international airlines to stop flying to any Israeli airport.

Al-Qassam brigades have also begun using their own Shehab drones. These devices were used in an attack on a gas platform on the Israeli shelf.

"The confrontation with the enemy has no end," said Ismail Haniya, head of the Hamas political bureau."

Why so uptight my little OZ settler?
Considering the article below was also written by an American Jew- writer for the Washington Post- calling "Mondoweiss a hate site", go debate it with Mr. Bernstein.

I found this an excellent read ... An attempt to explain why explosions are again filling the skies over Israel and Gaza

Israeli army kills 17 Palestinians in Gaza protests-screenshot_2021-05-14-confused-about-whats

Below is a snapshot from the article ...
Both Arab people of different faiths and Israeli Jewish people date their claims to the land back thousands of years, but it was in the early 20th century that the brutal displacement of the Palestinians began.

In the late 1800s, a Jewish movement to establish a homeland in what was then Ottoman-ruled Palestine began. It gathered pace after the defeat and collapse of the Ottoman Empire.

After World War I, the British ruled the area under a mandate from the League of Nations. They committed to the establishment of two separate states — one Jewish and one Arab.

After the Nazi genocide of the Jewish people in World War II, the newly formed United Nations voted to establish Israel alongside a Palestinian state.
Many Jews believe this was a homecoming, the return to their Holy Land and their rightful place.

In 1948, the state of Israel was founded. The Arab nations of the region, including Jordan and Egypt, refused to recognise it and war followed.
The new Israeli armed forces conquered more territory than envisaged by the UN vote — including the western half of Jerusalem.
The partition and subsequent war resulted in displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.

Many were forced from their homes and their property was seized by Israelis. A much smaller number of Jews were displaced, mostly from East Jerusalem.

Is it possible to feel ashamed, to be repulsed by 25% of ones own genetic heritage?
No, not really. This slaughter is not in my name, or my Jewish Grandfathers either.

the sooner the vile terrorist organisation hamas and all those who support it are ground to dust, the sooner there will be some semblance of peace in israel.

the palestinians, ignored and reviled for decades by their muslim brethren worlwide, have been allowed to fall into the hands of the iranian backed hamas, a terrorist organisation whose stated aims are the genocide of israeli jews.

this obviously cannot be allowed to happen and that is why the israelis are quite legitimately bombing the shit out of gaza.

the sooner right minded palestinians forego their misguided allegiance to hamas and its iranian backers the better, hamas does not have the interests of the everyday palestinian at heart, they seek only war, and as such, the israelis have every right to hammer the shit out of them.

^ A load of bullshit- although I am no fan of Hamas. It is the Palestinians that are being illegally and brutally occupied, not the Israeli Jews. Yes, the World should be ashamed and take more action. Israel needs to be brought to heel. Wanna bigger Israel- you will have both indigenous and colonist citizens, just like US, Can, ANZ, SAfr etc etc. Want Israel as a Jewish state? Then go home, settler scum. It is as simple as that.

..... and nobody will take the palestinian cause seriously until they sever their ties with hamas, then and only then can the real issues that you highlight be dealt with.

exactly, then as soon as hamas and their weapons are obliterated by whatever means possible, the better.
