This fridge fire story does not ring true to me, you need combustable fuel to grow a fire, if as has been alleged, the double glazing had a 30 minute minimum fire resistance then it should have burnt out it's oxygen supply fast, lots of smoke, but little flame.
Sure the fire investigators wil be combing through the place, but have attendend a few prison cell and cottege fires [ small flats with 5 bedrooms, kitchen and lounge] and never seen one that burnt through the windows, those windows are just laminated to stop them shattering, the steel bars or grills keep the prisoners in.
Think you need some sort of explosion to blow out the windows, gas leak, LPG gas bottle.
If in the US or OZ, meths lab would come to mind, we will see.

i would have imagined that the ethiopian taxi driver, the occupant of the flat with the exploding fridge, would have had little knowledge of the exothermic chemical processes involved during explosive combustion in a confined space and his first action would have been to open the window in the understandable hope of clearing the smoke and fumes from the immediate vicinity. opening his front door shortly afterwards would have created a powerful draught that only would have increased the intensity of the blaze and its certain spread to the cladding outside.
as to why the fridge exploded, its anybodys guess.
........... but given the number of electrical appliances in kitchens these days, all possibly being powered at the same time via a pound shop chinese made extension cord from the same cracked socket down on the floor behind the fridge in an old poorly maintained block of flats, well, you get the picture.

Then I take it you're not very familiar with British history or society. Britain has been a nation of immigrants for a long time now, at least 200 years. People have been complaining about it for exactly the same period of time. Many of the names some people consider foreign are 4th or 5th generation British now. You say you mean no offence, if that is true then take the time to learn something about the history and causes of immigration to Britain. Omega Mwaikambo was found guilty of malicious communications offences.
Mwaikambo pleaded guilty at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today to two counts under s127 of the Communications Act.
He received six weeks in prison for each count, to run consecutively, making a total of twelve weeks (three months).
Mwaikambo was originally arrested near to Latimer Road tube station on Wednesday after he posted images relating to the fire at Grenfell Tower on his Facebook page.
The images reportedly showed a partially clothed body.
