Thaksin killed a similar number in his bogus war but he still seems to be living in a choice of residencies across the free world........

Justice and human rights as concepts don't seem to make it much further East than, say, the Balkans.

Too complicated and too many conflicting policies not least the one that permitted the illegal abduction and torture of the Libyan freedom fighter by the British secret services in Thailand with the assistance of the US.

There really is no ethic worth the price these days.

Which is one of the reasons why I simply do not care a toss about pretty much anything these days, least of all the English and their shitty hypocrisy.

I remember well the excitment in the PI when 10s of thousands of folks hit the strrets to oust Marcos. The people power revolution. Sort of an arab spring thing with no arabs. It worked. Marcos was gone. Surprise, surprise. He's coming back as a national hero no less.

"Despite ongoing nationwide protests and court cases still unresolved for the victims of the strongman’s martial law, the laundering of the dictator’s legacy is nearly complete: Duterte has ordered next month’s transfer of Marcos’s mummified corpse from its refrigerated mausoleum in the country’s north to Manila — for a burial, with pomp, in the best location in the nation’s Cemetery of Heroes."

One wonders why, if you hold that view, you bother to post on an Asian centric site, visit the place or god forbid live there?

One wonders who may have a clear conscience to take the man to an international court.
