I found the "Goldman Sachs" part more of an effort to pander to idiots. Yes, the senior management of that company are repulsive parasites, but that doesn't apply to every employee and its mention was irrelevant.

Surely the 'Goldman Sachs employee' part was added to suggest this made the accident more tragic, based on the outdated illusion that it's somehow a hugely respected job.
One of those odd, archaic habits that still hang around in journalism.
