    Utter nonsense:

What the fatal attack on British politician Jo Cox says about guns in the UK - World - NZ Herald News

Lets be honest ant what is stopping anyone from loading a lorry up in Eastern Europe laden with AK-47's and RPG's? Then stuffing a few pockets to ensure passage into the schengen zone, from there is is pretty easy to smuggle weapons into the UK. It is pretty naive to think that this has not been done already.
whilst it may be very difficult if not impossible to obtain a firearms licence legally in the uk, those who want a gun for illegal use have never found it easier to obtain one.

the country is well supplied with illegal arms from eastern europe and those of criminal intent will know exactly where to go, who to ask and what to pay for a quickly sourced weapon and ammunition.

they come into the country by sea and it is almost impossible to open and examine the contents of every container offloaded at uk ports.
As stated previously ,its babys work to buy an illegal firearm , now its very difficult indeed for even a law abiding citizen in the UK to obtain an FAC ,a Shot gun permit is not the same and even to get one of those these days means check ups by the police ,home visits etc etc and even then you may be turned down , Heroin, Coke ,Ecstasy ,Amphetamines etc etc etc are all highly illegal in the UK so there for should not be easily purchased , really? , don't make me bloody laugh .

Just make ALL guns Highly illegal in the UK, that would stop gun crime over night .

Not that you would ever consider using such tragedies to promote your agenda, nor would you laugh at any gruesome killing or mutilation.

Heard on the news thatthe police say his gun was "home made". No doubt that will have no effect on TD CSI's fantasies of AKs and Armalites smuggled in by the boatload by Russian gangsters desperate to get Mr Khan at the corner shop tooled up

Folk shouldn't lose sight of the fact that this woman was murdered by the Brexit fascists whose natural demographic are idiots, racists and nutjobs.

Southern Poverty Law Centre a US based group which monitors the far right show a Thomas Mair from Batley, West Yorkshire, UK, made his first order from National Vanguard Books in 1999.
National Vanguard Books being the publishing arm of the National Alliance a white supremacist organisation.
Mair also purchased an instruction manual on how to make a pipe gun.

Hence my use of the term 'terrorist' indeed a crackpot but one with a political aim too I think.

How do you know? I'm not saying it wasn't a sawn off but I've only seen one newspaper say that.

A sad loner with a history of mental illness and links to white supremacist groups kills an MP. Jo Cox used her maiden commons speech to praise the diversity of the community she was elected to represent.
Sad lonely angry bigot with right wing extremist views. Done any gardening for your neighbours recently Piwanoi?

Wow, I see what Ant means about you not reading the contents of your own links. That one shows that all of the info the duke posted is known. The complete opposite of what your post implies.

...and here you are doing exactly what you decry in others: questioning the legitimacy of a news source. Completely missing the point of course which is that only one source is not really enough to rely on something as a fact, which you do time after time.

    ^^I have.

How about you give specifics of what is in it that disprove what 'the duke' posted?

No, you'll just stick with your usual brainfarts and exclamation marks of course.

Well said. I agree with you.

All politicians say what a jewel the NHS is, and actually it really isn't. Clinical psychotics are walking the streets unmedicated.

They closed all the looney bins round where I was brought up. We all let out.

Something which does absolutely nothing to disprove 'the duke's' post...

You would of course be linking frenziedly to the merest whisper in the comments section of 'The Hasidic Daily News' by 'muzziehatalol' if this assailant's name was Ahmed.

But now a much higher standard of proof seems to be required than stuff which is all over pretty much all of the UK press about him holding extreme right wing views.

Jo Cox death: What we know about the suspect - BBC News
Mr Mair's name appears on a website listing him as a past subscriber to the SA Patriot - a magazine published by a South African pro-apartheid group.
The magazine issued a statement confirming that he appeared to have been a subscriber back in the 1980s, but said his subscription was not renewed and that those involved in the publication had never met him.
Meanwhile a US civil rights group, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), claimed it had obtained records showing Mr Mair had links with the US neo-Nazi organisation National Alliance (NA) between 1999 and 2003.
