    ISIS Beheaded a Street Magician

    Even more heartless and repressive is;

A street magician in Syria beloved by children was beheaded by militants with the Islamic State group after his performances were deemed to be insulting to God, the Daily Mirror reported Wednesday.

The murder of the magician, who was known as “Sorcerer,” was called “barbarism and butchery” by a Syrian activist who knew him but fled to safety in nearby Turkey.

"The magician was a popular man who entertained people with little tricks on the street like making coins or [a] phone disappear,” the activist told the British tabloid. "He was just called Sorcerer by people and children loved him. He was doing nothing anti-Islamic but he paid for it with his life.”

But to the Islamic State, the group formerly known as ISIS, the street magician’s tricks were anti-Islamic because they were performed through “illusions and falsehood,” according to the Mirror. They also said the Koran forbid the tricks because the time people spent captivated by them could have been better used by going to a mosque, the tabloid added.

The street magician was a staple in Raqqa, the Syrian city where ISIS has its base of operations. He was performing in the eastern Syrian city when he was whisked away by ISIS militants and later beheaded in a public square.

"This is the reality of life in Raqqa, murdered in the name of Allah for performing a few tricks,” the activist said.

The guy was doing his best to make life a little more bearable for the poor.

But Islam dictates that anything outside of the approved load of crap that is the Quran is sinful and punishable with maiming or death.

All based on a load of hysterical ramblings gleaned from a few bints who survived Mohammed's death, then doctored over and again over several generations, copies of the original rants by those reputedly physically strong and sexually powerful bints of the desert were lost and/or destroyed.

Finally, a concoction of a few thousand verses was whittled down and arranged in order of length of rant, the longest rant making the first verse of the Quran and the shortest being the last verse.

Then there's the hadiths and sunnas (basically directives and commentaries written between 800- 1400 AD.

The whole lot is a mish-mash of Judaism, Xtianity, Babylonian and Hindu religious concepts, and the various versions of the Quran are not universally accepted throughout Islam. Wahabi version only in Mecca, the rest are confiscated on arrival.

Did you know that the Kabbaa was a Hindu temple and that the name Allah is derived from Sanskrit?

Mohammed himself is recorded as having a poor memory and was himself illiterate and had to have a bunch of his also illiterate mates memmorise all that he dictated, so much confusion in the ranks there.

That load of memoirs, the original Quran, was lost, and a second lot was written and edited over and over until the the latest version was written, years after his death.

Another interesting feature of the Kaba at Mecca, is the little stone idol in the rock that the pilgrims worship.

So much for Islam's banning of worship or depiction of human form.

    What a hypocrisy!

Beheading might seem a trifle harsh.. Unless we're talking Paul Daniels, perhaps.

So when people, some of whom happen to be muslim, want to go out and party, to live and let live, they are somehow 'hypocritical'?

You'd prefer them to be on bombing raids, presumably?

Do you think that everyone who is muslim subscribes to exactly the same thought process and morality?

Yes, everyone who is muslim "subscribes to the same thought process and morality".
That is what being a =muslim is all about. Unlike other religions, there is no allowance for a divergence of views. There is only one way, the way of allah.

As for the photo, those females are not Turkish, nor muslim. Muslim women would be assaulted on the streets of Istanbul if dressed like that. Turkey has changed since Erdogan took over and instituted Islamic procedures and mores.

You have absolutely no way of knowing that. And you're zeroing in on one picture when obviously the point is more general.

So all the Muslims in those pictures subscribe to the same thought process and morality as someone who sends a child into a Nigerian market place wearing a suicide vest.

    (a) Yes, that behaviour is against Islamic codes of conduct.

    (b) No.

    (c) No. There are many interpretations of the Quran, hadiths and sunnas, according to which Islamic sect you belong to and its mullah.

It's impossible to 'stretch' a statement like 'all Muslims subscribe to the same thought process and morality', which is a statement that zygote1 agrees with.

    They do in fact.

They are Muslim born and bred, so directed by submission to Allah and his prophets.

Their thought processes are directed regularly every Friday via their local imams and mullah.

Some choose to ignore the directives, but they're still followers of Islam, albeit a bit lacadaisicaly.

The dysfunctional hypocrisy is certainly not limited to Islam.

    Different theatre, same players.
