Charlie Hebdo: Magazine republishes controversial Mohammed cartoons

French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo has republished cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed that made them the target of a deadly terror attack in 2015.

Republication comes a day before 14 people go on trial accused of helping the two Islamist attackers carry out their gun rampage on 7 January 2015.

Twelve people were killed, including famous cartoonists. Five people died in a related attack in Paris days later.

The attacks began a wave of jihadist strikes across France...................................Charlie Hebdo: Magazine republishes controversial Mohammed cartoons - BBC News

They don't care. Apparently everything offensive they do is not to send a political message but to bolster subscriptions.

Most French have a very low opinion of them.

French police detain main suspect in ‘symbolic’ attack outside Charlie Hebdo’s former office

    25/09/2020 - 12:53
French prosecutors have opened a terrorism investigation after two people were wounded in a knife attack in Paris on Friday near the former offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. The suspected perpetrator, as well as six other men, have been taken into custody.
Two victims were seriously injured, the Paris police department said. The main suspect was caught and taken into custody almost immediately after the attack, along with another man whose links to the suspected perpetrator is currently being investigated. Later Friday, police also detained five other men who were apprehended as officers searched a home in the Paris suburbs believed to belong to the main suspect.

A Pakistan-born teenager has admitted to stabbing two people with a meat cleaver outside the former Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo magazine, investigators said Saturday, with nine people now detained over what the government condemned as "Islamist terror".
The 18-year-old said he wanted to avenge the republication of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed by the satirical weekly, which in January 2015 was targeted in a massacre carried out by Islamist gunmen.

Sweet Jeezus why would you let anyone in to your country from Pakistan? They are a peace loving country that respect women's right and terrorists.

Slamming Pakistan for its record as a nation, Vinito said, “The only crowning glory that this country has to show to the world for the last 70 years is terrorism, ethnic cleansing, majoritarian fundamentalism and clandestine nuclear trade.”

Pakistan’s Supreme Court on Monday halted the extradition to the US of a Pakistani-American terror suspect until further orders, local media reported.

A two-judge bench, led by Justice Mushir Alam, barred the government from handing over Talha Haroon, who is reportedly in his early 20s, to Washington on the petition of his father, local broadcaster Express News reported.

The FBI accuses Haroon of being a Daesh/ISIS sympathizer, and involved in planning of multiple terror attacks. Also, according to FBI, he wanted to carry out Paris-style attacks in New York City in June 2016.

One of our business partners in Malaysia is married to a Pakistani and even though she is Malay/Muslim she has had nothing but grief even from the pro-Muslim bureaucracy and government policies in Malaysia
