^True enough but he wasn't flying a commercial airliner under today's stupid health and safety laws.

..and he was also in the plane alone, not with 70 or 80 other lives riding along with him.

Not that this is in any way shape or form meant to be a diss on Bader, who was a real, genuine hero.

Ah yes that Great Brtish war hero. You may not have noticed though he is climbing into a single seater fighter plane with NO passengers and if I remember right he had a nasty habit of crashing while attempting to land

I flew Jet Airways BOM/LHR pilot was American very talkative throughout flight, which i though was strange. We approached LHR from Tower Bridge he was flying low and it was dark outside winter time around 5pm.I have flown a lot but never flown so low over London could see the big television screen at Piccadilly Circus almost an air tour of the sights of London.
    Few weeks later.

Michael Harr, 62, was taken off the Jet Airways flight to Mumbai by officers and subsequently failed a breath test at 9.30 in the morning.
Airport staff tipped off police when they smelt alcohol as he passed through security.
Mr Harr, a former United States marine, was due to be first officer on the Boeing 777 flight to India on Sunday. An airport source said: "Security were immediately suspicious about him and deemed that he wasn't fit to fly.

I had my suspicions during my flight he was so chatty on the intercom.
