Proof the lunatics are running the UK today

I was reading the online papers yesterday and came across an article that I had to read a couple of times to make sure I hadn't read it wrong the first time.
A couple buy a caravan for twenty thousand pounds and spend a further ten thousand on fitting it nice. They put it on a campsite where they used to spend the odd weekend to get away from it all. It was one day stolen.
It was finally traced eighteen months later by the police but the couple received a letter saying that they could not return the caravan as the travellers, for that read pikey bastards who were living in it due to their human rights.
The Pikey claimed he bought the caravan from a man in a pub in good faith for three hundred, yes THREE HUNDRED POUNDS and the coppers just believed him.
The UK truly has lost the plot altogether when they can come up with lunacy like this.

    Link to the article here

Police won't hand stolen caravan back to couple to protect human rights of the travellers living in it | Mail Online

They will have to drag me back there screaming and kicking to ever get me to live there ever again.
Just wait till next year when the Bulgarian and Romanian invasion starts. It will make the polish invasion seem like a mere trickle.
    Rant over.
Treat everyone as a complete and utter idiot and you can only ever be pleasantly surprised !

What's the problem? Isn't a caravan a licensed vehicle in the UK, ownership and its transfers registered with the authorities?

Who'd want the caravan back after a family of pikeys have been living in it? Better to just torch it.

The insurance company for one if they have paid out!

Or maybe the original owners if not insured as not many would burn what stands them in 30 grand!

Sadly for them they let the insurance lapse as the premiums kept going up every year.
As said the bit where the pikey living in it said he bought it in a pub in good faith for three hundred quid is a blinder.
Why have thieving pikey bastards got more human rights than the law abiding legal owner FFS ?
I do often wonder just what it is going to take before the spineless and gutless British public finally tell these politicians that this lunacy has to end and end now.

Dont wanna divert your thread too much BF ,, but another quick example of todays lunacy .

My HGV licence now requires me to do a CPC part ( every 5 years have to go in a classroom for a whole day 5 days in 5 years ) now because I go into London in my work one of these 5 days I have to go on a cycling proficiency course 3 hours of which must be riding a cycle ,, this decided by Doris Johnson .

So if you see a bunch of fat bastards cycling sweating our nuts off wearing our GLC orange vests on you will know whats going on .

This bollox is just what a bankrupt Country needs to help it back on its feet , making employers take lorries and drivers off the roads for days to twatt around like this .

Pikeys, as opposed to East European migrants, get away with far too much. In addition to the laws that protect them as if they are law abiding, tax paying citizens, the police are reluctant to go into the camps provided by local authorities even to question them.

The public outcry that followed the conviction of Tony Martin led to an easing of the self-defence qualifications in England. It's time that the police had the guts to go after the scum bags.

I often thought that car drivers should spend a day driving a truck so they would be more tolerant when having to make space for a turning truck but never thought truck drivers need to have empathy for cyclists who are a lot smaller and more manoeuvrable.

What are they trying to teach? How to lurk in blind spots, how to catch a free ride by hanging onto a truck, how to ride alongside the large wheels on the inside of a turning truck?

    back to topic.

Farmers have to barricade their gates to stop pikeys entering their fields. Having built a gate so you can get your tractor into the field you then have to barricade it with large heavy objects so you can't.

You must be joking! Rather lose a caravan than get shot up whilst out shopping and have all of the nuts calling for more people to carry guns.

If you take a look at the many cycles chained to railings as memorials to the cyclist that died their your view might change.

To many lorry drivers drive like idiots trying to intimidate other road users with size!

Getting lorry drivers on cycles around London is a good idea, might help a few more check their mirrors before they make a turn and crush a cyclist.

Have you ever drove a 40 foot articulated vehicle ? I highly doubt it , have you any idea what the test demands of you to obtain a HGV class 1 licence both written and practical ? any Tom ,Dick or Harry can jump on a bike and ride down the public highway without anything either licence ,insurance or tuition nor is there an age limit or medical involved ,HGV drivers are without a doubt the best in Britain , I have truly lost count when an HGV driver is attempting a left hand turn with his indicator on well before hand that some stupid bastard does not try to go past on his inside , in fact some artics used to have writing at the rear of their units ,on the right was written "passing side" on the left was written "suicide" or another one was on the right rear "overtaker" and on the left "undertaker"

    Therein lies the whole problem.
Every other road user has to first show that they have read and understand the highway code by taking a test to prove it. Once they have done that they then have to prove they can drive the vehicle of their choice in full control and also following the laws of the highway code.
    CYCLISTS DON'T
The vast majority of cyclist death happen because the cyclist puts themselves in a very dangerous position. Cyclists need to be taught that they should always remain to the rear of any vehicle, especially HGV's where there is any chance they may turn left. If all cyclists obeyed this rule there wouldn't be any more cyclists killed by vehicles turning left.
sadly, especially in London cyclists seem to think they own the roads and that the highway code doesn't concern them. they are by far the most arrogant, ignorant cyclists you will find anywhere in the world.

According to the highway code vehicles need to give way to pedestrians and cyclist even if either are at fault!

HGV drivers should have blind spot mirrors and be aware of what their vehicle might come into contact with at all times especially when making left hand turns.

I agree some cyclist take stupid risks or are just not aware of the consequences of their riding.

I think you will find that there has been a campaign for some time now to high light the dangers some cyclist put their self in,also making HGV drivers more aware of the problem.

If getting them on bikes riding around London helps then that,s a good thing.

Why there at it they should restrict HGVs to the first lane on motorways and dual carriageways.
Lost count of the amount of time I have been stuck behind one attempting to overtake another only to drop back behind it after half a mile!,or two crawling up hill side by side.

They are one of the main courses of traffic chaos and accidents on motorways.

Then there are the ones who just pull out knowing full well its your right of way but you have no option to brake and give way.

Your right many are good drivers, perhaps a few bad apples spoil the barrel.

    BIG Fella

That,s one of the advantages of cycling in what is sometimes bumper to bumper traffic, you can filter through it.

Who would sit behind a lorry?

The Lorry drivers need to be aware and give way to a cyclist if he is attempting to pass him.
