Going back to yasojack's comment about hatred of Muslims, it's not so much a hatred of the dumps, but a wondering of where the hell they're really at?

The usual deal is that if ya say, "I'm gonna sell ya a cat.", ya sell da dude a cat.
He pays the agreed fee, you accept it, he takes the cat, deal done, everybody happy.

Ya say, "Peace." Then deal out agro, .........oh, oh.....no deal.

Same same, religion of peace wanna smack around instead, dey gonna get a smack around in return.

Don't take no rocket scientist to understand that.

But,....I did hear tell from that Zooheeheecock chap in one of his earlier posts on this thread that it takes at least a degree in engineering for an Islamic jihadist to become a suicide bomber!!!

Maybe that's why it's gonna take so long for the penny to drop for them ragheads to wake up to the fact that it's just useless to keep on being dumb and trying to convince anyone that they're a religion of peace.

There ain't no road to peace, peace is the road,

It's like peace is, as peace does.

Or, in the immortal words of Forest Gump,

    "Stupid is as stupid does."

Of course, Mid, you may have more information to the contrary, so please do enlighten us.

True, so all ye of little faith or intelligence please come up with some insight into the workings of thsi Irish chap's mind as he progressed frm his aUlster background and upbringing to become an Islamic wannabe warrior.

Was it all due to his distorted and dysfunctional family background in troubles divided Ulster?

Neither have you, so that's not very enlightening at all, but only to be expected of you.

I certainly don't carry any stats on the topic, and if you try searching for any using those terms, you won' t find any either.

As, I said, they're buried in studies and papers published by various health boards such as the NHS or universities and hospitals, and you're going to have to trawl through those articles yourself to find precise figures.

Approximate estimates that are generally published, are that roughly 30 - 45% of "religious" experiences are psychotic in nature, and I would argue that all conversion experiences are. Understanding the nature of psychosomatic experiences that result in such psychoses, such as Zen enlightenment ( to use a classic example), or Xtian "rebirth", or other ecstacies is difficult as some are typical of epilepsy.

Magic, religion, psychiatry/psychology, law and politics are all inextricably intertwined and have been so since all disciplines were envisaged.

    The politics of social persuasion.

I've allready given you references to articles containing information on the prevalence of psychosis in ecstatic and/or religious experiences, including conversions from one religion to another, so it's up to you to read and look there for the statistics you want to find.

Simply because the topic is so politically and culturally sensitive, especially in the UK at this time, no one seems to be willing to upset Islam by pointing out uncomfortable truths and definitive statistics until protocls for a better dialogue between Islam and the people of Britain have been establshed, as is happening now in UK.

Reading Tony Blair's recent comments on "a strain within Islam" being responsible for instigating violent Islamic jihad should sufficiently indicate to you that there's a softly-softly approach to stating clearly that a predominance of cases of Muslim expression is not born of a state of rational thought, to put it mildly.

So too with all religious issues, as they are born of belief, not of logic and the ratonal mind.

Ashaf Islam is a case in point, he just walked straight into a cop shop and threw himself into a cell for his irrational anti-social beliefs, magically converted into self sacrifice for political motives.

    A martyr,......or a nutter?

Hey ENT ,I do hope you have noticed what a big deal Zoohecock made about not being able to view your links in his post#37, as if he was desperate to read em , and yet when I clearly pointed out to him the link in my post #36 was working perfectly in my post to him #39 he made no reply , maybe it was a bit too near the truth for him thus causing embarrassment, being unable to make an excuse for this barbaric practice eh , But of course as the old saying goes"its never too late" maybe he would like to comment on it now, what about it Zoohecock?

I'm breaking a personal rule here, but just the once....Why didn't I respond to your post? Because (i) you're a tedious little twerp and I don't want to encourage you (ii) despite what you seem to think, your link doesn't establish what you think it does and (iii) you are so terminally thick that there's absolutely nothing to be gained by explaining why this is the case. And I'm not going to get into a discussion with you because it would be completely fruitless - I'd have more success and fun explaining the Kantian categorical imperative to my fucking dog - so don't feel obliged to respond to this, or indeed any other posts of mine.
