One would've thought they're too dumb to commit suicide.

If I was many miles from here I’d be sailing in an open boat on the sea,
Instead I'm on this window ledge with the whole world below.

"We can help you. We can help you,
Won’t you come on down and talk to us son".

The crowd was getting stronger and our Harold getting weaker
Forward, backward swaying side to side.
Fearing the very worst, they called his mother to his side.

Up on the ledge beside him his mother made a last request.
    "Come off the ledge.
If your father was alive he’d be very very very upset,
You just can’t jump, your shirt’s all dirty, there’s a man here
from the BBC. You just can’t jump".

"We can help you. We can help you.
Won’t you come on down and talk to us Harry"?

"He can’t last long, said you couldn't trust him,
his brother was just the same. He can’t last long,
…………………the British public is on our side".

"We can help you. We can help you.
Won’t you come on down and talk to us Harry"?

If I was many miles from here I’d be sailing in an open boat on the sea,
Instead I'm on this window ledge with the whole world below.

Again being diagnosed with depression requires a good health system. Many nations have very little in the way of mental health support. Most will only ever see a GP and will not be diagnosed as depressed.
As for single car accidents, from memory, long time ago when I was involved in this type of stuff. Think around 50 % of accidents had no evident cause.
You can tell suicide from gunshots, hanging or jumping ODs without a note are a judgement call. Many attempt, but it is a call for help, but when help arrives it is too late, is it a real suicide then or just a different way of self mutilation.
Perhaps a better way to judge world be to look at the death rate from unnatural causes and work from there.
This not only applies to suicide, but murder rates, what's classed as murder in one country maybe classed as manslaughter in another. No one keeps the same system of collecting data. Jim

it would be a very rare exception, that a psychiatrist had ordered a blood test before prescribing ritalin or anti-depressants...

a clean, healthy country, with very good retirement and health care solutions...
The reason the Swiss have lower suicide rates is because Euthanasia is legally available. Have you applied yet kittykat?

    clever move...

where is the comparison of increase of anti-derpressants and increase of suicide rate...
its the increase of psycho-medication in the US... causing your high number of road accidents AND suicides... BOTH numbers are high...
I heard it on a financial news show. There is numbers to support it so watch what u say. I will dig them up.
