Singapore Restaurant Reviews

Hello Unregistered,

32 Race Course Road, Tel: 6297-8422 Open: 11.30am to 3pm, 6.15 to 10.45pm (Mondays to Fridays), 11.30am to 3pm (Saturdays and Sundays)

There are very few Bengali restaurants here, and after tasting the excellent food at Mustard, one wonders why.

One of my favourite dishes in this modest restaurant, which also serves Punjabi dishes, is the prawn in green coconut ($18.90).

The delicious curry comes in a whole coconut which not only looks nice but the fruit adds a subtle but nice fragrance to it too.

Even better, scrape off the meat from inside the coconut and eat it together with the curry. It’s truly delicious.

The prawns themselves are lightly cooked so that they stay nice and crunchy, and the curry is mild enough for you to savour their natural sweetness.

Eat the curry with a briyani, like the lamb version in the picture, and it’s a meal already.
