This charming French restaurant in quiet Stadium Walk is the place to go when you want a good, authentic French onion soup made with lots of love.

Start a meal at Le Bistrot by digging into the bubbling, gruyere-cheese topped crouton sitting on top of the soup – you won’t regret it.

Under the volcano of cheese is possibly the best French onion soup in town.

It is made with thinly sliced white onions, cooked slowly in the soup pot until they turn melting soft and sweet. Then, chicken and beef stock, and red wine are added to complete this luscious soup.

And when the soup and onions soak into the cheesy toast – heaven on a spoon.

The white lion’s head bowl is deep so there’s lots of soup to get through.

But it is so delicious you will want to take your own sweet time.

Order the soup as part of a two-course meal for $38 or a three-course meal for $48. It costs $15 a la carte.
