    Northern Vietnam in September

Do you think it's still worth it to go to Ha long Bay? I only have 30 days, and I am flying in/out from Hanoi, so will need a few stops outside Hanoi to make a loop. Obviously, Ha Giang seems like the best most important, hopefully the weather in September is ideal there? And in Hanoi? Other than Ha Giang, I only know of Sapa, and other scenic areas in the mountains. My question is should I even bother with Ha long, Nimh Binh, and other places south and east of Hanoi, or just focus on the Northwest region, since that is where the most beautiful scenery is? I would like to avoid mass tourism and crowds, so that is why I picked September. Hopefully, that's correct? So what do you think my route should be?

Oh yes that will be lovely.

Just try and ignore all the pollution and associated shit floating around and if ya really want typhoid you could always take a swim.

I have heard bad things about Sapa, perhaps the entire month should be spent split between Hanoi and Ha Giang
