    Well done Nat.

Really looking forward to your report on Christchurch.
Family had property there and spent a lot of time in Christchurch/Mudeford/Bosocmbe and Highcliff.
By the pics, you must have been the youngest girl in Christchurch when you went. Loads of old fogeys pottering around that way.
Anyways. Get some blisters on your fingers and start typing and adding pics as soon as possible!
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

Actually his body language seems to be saying

Sounds ideal for a writer or artist. I bet the winters aren't so nice though.

You've peaked my curiosity even more now.

Helloooooo, it was cold. I went there from Dubai which had highs of 36 at that time. I had to say the weather was amazing most of the time I was in England. On this morning, the breeze was brisk, so you would get a sunny patch and it felt warm, then the wind would blow the clouds in and it felt cold. I was constantly taking my jacket off and putting it back on again. Undrneath I'm only wearing a tank top or a singlet with a scarf. I made the most of layering.

JJ, for me too. I've lived in Dubai for almost 4 years now and every time I go back to UK, I'm blown away. I'll be moving to London in February and I'm really looking forward to it.

It's a really nice place. The town is very compact making things easy to get to on foot or in a very short drive. I keep seeing place names that I know in Canada, but it's not the same by far.

It is, and it ended up that Weymouth was a spur of the moment decision while we were in *Bournemouth*, hee hee.

Definitely next time. We wanted to go that way and go to Stonehenge, but our time was running out, so we went down to Weymouth and Durdle Door instead.

Any time the sun came out it was blinding. I didn't want my picture taken, but hubby keeps insisting. I kept telling him to hurry up. There are better pics of me coming up.

There really isn't any report on Christchurch, unfortunately. The weather started to get nasty after lunch, so we just found a place to stay and went to the pub.
I'll post the next couple of batches now. )))))

    St. Leonards on Sea

There'a only a handful of pics for this place, which is just outside of Hastings. Very pretty place.

We spent the night at Rutland Guest House. Rutland Guest House for bed and breakfast in Hastings and St Leonards On Sea East Sussex It's right on the beach which has free parking. The owner, the rooms, the garden and the breakfast were all superb.

This is our view of the garden

    The shower in our room

The beach from our window. We could hear the waves crashing on the shore all night. Beautiful!

    Some beautiful buildings

Lunch, and for the life of me I can't remember where this was. We had stopped in a smallish town and I'm blank on which one it was. Anyway, the food was good and the beer was great.

    Eastbourne, Beachy Head, Birling Gap

The beaches are pebbly all the way to Bournemouth, then the beach has nice fine sand. I never looked up why this is, so maybe a local can fill us in.

    Eastbourne

    Beachy Head

The car park is in the middle of nowhere and has spaces for about 5 cars, yet they're still strict on the parking laws. We were the only people there.

This was at the top of a big hill and the wind was wicked!

It even has its own soccer field / football pitch

A group of students was there cleaning up the beach, just down the stairs from the railing that you see in the previous pic.

I wanted to give myself creative license for this shot, but it didn't turn out as well as I had expected. When I looked at the building, it seemed to blend in with the cliff. The pic doesn't quite look like this, but I still like it because you can see the heaviness of the clouds and the strenght of the building.

There weren't. It could be because of the weather, it had been rainy off and on, but very windy and cold.

armstrong, I know!!!! I don't like cold weather, I much prefer hot, hot, hot. I even like the summer here. That's the only thing I'm not looking forward to when I move there.

    Hayling Island

In a nice spot on the way

Hayling Island has its own steam train that goes from one end of the beach to the other. It was just getting ready to depart when we got there

    Bournemouth

That exotic place that we hear so much about from one of our most infamous posters. Well, we finally got to see it for ourselves. The weather was beautiful that day.

We went there through The New Forest which is really pretty

    Nearing the water

    Yum

A nice little park with loads of big fat squirrels
