    4 Thursday April 21st

We took The Thames Clipper from North Greenwich Station to The London Eye. At The London Eye, we bought tickets but we were only able to go on it at 4:00. So we went over to Borough Market on the reccomendation of my step-aunt, then came back to go on The London Eye.

At North Greenwich pier. A metal tree

Looking at your pictures Natalie reminds me of when I took Ms Bangyai to the U.K. for a holiday. Looks like we went to all the same places with the exception of the London Eye. Looked like being a slow revolution so we went to the pub instead

Love the pics of Borough Market Natt ,,, reminds me of when I first started driving lorrries , that was my first drop off ,, it was at stupid o,clock in the morning when most sensible people had better things to do , like keep warm + sleep ,,,,,,it was all locked up so we had our own keys to open up and deliver the veg , actually slept close to that one night ,, that was before lorries were viewed by the Mayor of London as Alien poisinous creatures to be kept away at all costs ,, I think old Doris Johnson is working on a system of levitating goods into the capital from Watford now

Hi Natalie! Thanks for the "run-around" London. You've been treading on my domain! Born there too many years ago - but seldom returned. Am visiting UK in July, might just pay it a visit - your "gallery" has resurrected some memories!

I'm sure you had a great time. Which pub did you go to? I'm thinking now, I should have hibernated in a pub when I went there in December. It was bloody freezing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds 'cool', ha ha ha. The politically correct rules and laws remind me of Canada. :-(

    5 Friday April 22nd - Oxford

Oxford and the area are gorgeous. I think we picked the best time to go to England. We kept seeing fields / farms of these nice yellow flowers and we took tons of pics of them. I asked my husband what they are and he couldn't remember but he did remember that the seeds are used for oil. So finally I looked them up on the net and they're rapeseed flowers. I don't think they're raised in Canada unless it started after 2004.

    On the road again
I just can't wait to get on the road again

    a rapeseed farm

We just kind of drove there blindly just seeing what we'd come across. We ended up on the university grounds at The Pitt Rivers Museum.

    Inside the museum

    Boris?

    In the town

Nearing London we saw a lot of thick smoke from a huge fire. We never did find out what was burning.

Thanks, Mathos, but I can only take credit for a few of them. Most of the ones of the inside were taken by hubby's uncle.

Loy Toy, I'm having problems posting a pic now, but if you check on Page 1, you'll see some pics of me.

    1860 - 2010 That's one hell of a long debate.

Hope they stopped for a cup of tea every decade or so.

That was the last batch of Mandleson,s autobiography,s he did,nt manage to shift at Sunday,s boot sale on Hackney Wick.

Loving the pics in Oxford Natt , one of the few places in the UK I have,nt been in the town / city so to speak as they have had a blanket 3 ton limit since the wheel was invented .

I would bet folding money that last pic with B + Q on the left and BP on the right was taken on the North Circular at Walthamstow ,,,, infact I am delivering there today at the muslim cemetry down Folly lane behind that BP garage

They probably stopped every 10 minutes, that's why they took so long.

You're probably right. I dpn't know the name of that area. We had good old GPS and me as navigator.

But that fire happened a week before that.

Thanks, patsy. Hubby is about 20 kg heavier than when we first met in 2005. I do have pics of us with Mathos and Flobo coming up. My next segments will be of Manchester, The Lake District, then Mathos' neghbourhood.

It takes a while for Photobucket to upload them and I'm juggling a few things at once in these couple of weeks, but I will do them. :-)

Not if that pic is taken on the North Circular facing away from Walthamstow as I suspect ,, that smoke would be coming from the Redbridge / Ilford area ,,,,,, curry in a hurry shop overdone the firelighters

555+ I put em on the tee pegs , you knock em up the fairway .

Actually I take the materials to cement them in with ,, its a most peculiar looking affair , everything laid out in very regular rectangles , a bit smaller than your average grave , then stone borders cemented around the plot , then 4 inch thick 20mm ballast paths cemented in all round them . Looks like once your in there , your stayin put .

There was a load of old boys walking around wearing jesus boots and chanting something , when I was eating me somtum

Looking at that larger pic your put up Dave I can see exactly where it is now ,, that is a little further back than I originally thought ,, that is the North Circular at Edmonton , the new Ikea store at Edmonton and to the left of that pic ( not in view ) is the massive London Waste incinerator ,,,, so the answer to THAT particular smoke Natt is its NOT the scrapyard under the M1 ,,,,,,allthough as others have mentioned it did go up around that time

You have to give it to pommie land, streets ahead of everywhere else.

Did you manage to sign on the dole out there, or claim for anything.
