Anyone tried out one of these Japanese noodle bars? Apparently there are about 50 in the UK. I'll be trying out the Bournemouth branch tomorrow night. Will report back

Don't expect too much smeg, i've been to a few and would rather stick to a proper Chinese, Japanese, Thai or whatever you fancy
From the pics it looks like an Oishi / Hajiban type place. I quite like them for a quick pig-out
There's another one thats popping up called 'miso' they're supposed to be pretty good but i tried one a couple of years ago and was unimpressed, maybe they've got better?
The soups from wagamama that i've tried are alright but the rice/noodle with stuff on them have been pretty crap.
Thats my opinion though one of my mates think they're great but he is a tight fukker though
Well, luckily I didn't have any tortoises on me at the time...
The beef/chicken ramen is alright, if you think of it as a Japanese McDonalds (cheap fast food) you won't be disappointed.
And Miso is still piss poor, far worse than Wagamamas.
They're probably shit.
I've never been.
But I bet it's shit.
In a bowl.
Looks ok to me
^looks shit
I bet it tastes like shit
i used to clean the one at tower of london...nice floors and loos , food smelled ok .
Hey Smeg, since you are in the UK , you can pop in and try the place. Take a few pics.....not any that link here please http://www.mkweb.co.uk/restaurants/images/Wagamama2.jpg
That noodle soup looked alright. How much was that?
He is right about the prices being about the same in the UK, I always pay 350 to 450 baht a bowl for my noodles.
^ Yes, but we aren't all sad miserable old penny-counting cnuts like you.
Anyway, the restaurant was alright. The waiter was a bit weird, because he came and sat next to us (me and a japanese girl) and scribbled our order on the table cloth (a bit of paper)
I ordered a yaki soba, and my friend an udon soup. Mine was better than hers, which was a bit plain.
Service was quick. Free water and green tea. Optional tip.
Nothing else to say really, apart from it was worth going, and I'll go again. Oh, and there were lots of other fit asian girls eating in there too
admit that it was shit.
I told you it would be shit.
I was right.
admit it.
