My girlfriend at the time had a girlfriend who was going out with my mate who lodged in Addingham where we had a four in the bed romp after two spliffs and several pints of Tetley. One of these Nights by the Eagles and No Woman No Cry by Bob Marley were the juke box favourites in the student union bar at the time.
Bradford tech was it?student union bar at the time.
Wuthering tights, mock not i seems possible SA and I were almost "Brothers In Arms"
The Dales were wide open back in day post pill pre aids, free acid, cheap Rocky no crack heads and very friendly lacks policing.
I recall awakening to sounds from the next room of a moaning Swaledale wench moaning to Steely Dan's Do it Again oh Heathcliff , Heathcliff get weaving I've whippet to feed n snicket.
I am sure Chitty has no plan for filth in Yorkshire , with many church vistis and after a Timothy Taylor a spot of "brass rubbing"
I started my first degree at Leeds Poly in 1988 and for some reason I still remember the street I lived on... a flat above a funeral directors on Burley Lodge Street. I have no idea what area that was/is.
I only lasted a month Oop Norf and left to work in a mushroom farm for a few months.
Not quite, Bradford Uni BA Humanities with Dip.HE as foundation year at Ilkley College which was then a teachers training college. Previously, it was the Domestic Science College catering ( pun! ) for young wimmin, around 500, known locally as the Pudding Club …..ooer missus …..but in 1974 under the educational reforms then implemented Ilkley was told to diversify or die. It did and I found myself on a campus in 1975 where I was one of 52 chaps among 500 lasses. Terrific vibe, great Student Union where I discovered Newcastle Exhibition, and the town itself then had a plethora of small pubs most of which have now gone, it seems, but added to the social whirl. I remember autumn there was redolent of New England in the fall and the colours along the Wharfe Valley were glorious in their myriad hues. I fell in love fleetingly with a beautiful Lake District Lancashire lass but in my feckless youth I squandered my luck.
The course was bollox though and misrepresented at the time so I quit after a term.
I still think of the girl whenever I see a picture of a young Ingrid Bergman whose looks she shared. Gorgeous eyes, and two of them too which is always a bonus.
Great university and social life. I remember we used to always bomb up to Leeds for some epic Drum & Bass nights. I found out that curled up in a Carhartt parka under a standard uni desk is actually a quite nice way to sleep...when you're 16.
I think my top 3 cities in England are London, Leeds and York. Manchester comes a close 4th just because of the word, 'Mint'.

a decent town back then. only reason to go there now is the wobblehead tucker.Bradford
There's no harm in employing some 'quality control' on one's posts, even if only to avoid being thought of as a semi-conscious dolt.

should have popped into bettys cafe for an earl grey and a fat rascal then.Found Harrogate grey and grim meself.
You sexual hooligan . Who would of thunk that you once had a life devoid of whinging and moaning. Its good you can cast your mind back that far and remenisce , you can probably do the same in wongamat nightly but you have to part with a few purple persuaders at your age
did you notice which factory though?
