I sort of feel cheated a bit in life. I never rode a bus to school. They had them but I was not on a route that they would go so I would have to walk to the bus stop ( 1mil away) so I always rode my bike as it was a BMX style and I rode the trails along the river. It was about a 3 mile ride. I used to always get to school for that bus. When it rained sometimes my Dad would give me a ride but I was SOL to get home. Later he got a pick up truck so I would toss the bike in the back and he would throw me out and say "Be home before dinner". The only time I got to ride on a bus was school field trips and I always thought the bus drivers were creepy old fkrs so nice job on the new career path Dil. No more pink flamingo's in the pool for you.
BTW. while I never drove a bus, I was a UPS ( like Fed Ex) long haul truck driver. I went through their truck driving school and used to take a double from Northern California Hub to the Southern California hub and back. I was doing it as a side job as the company I was working for at the time was a 3 day on 4 day off shift (The good ol semiconductor days). So on the 4 days off I would make a run. Pay was great and it ate up 2 days. At that time all UPS trucks had throttle governors so you could not go over 60mph. Once I would get out on the big interstate, I would knock me back a big caffeine drink and just wood the thing to the floor board and hold it until my leg would cramp up then switch feet.
