It was pouring with rain. Maybe water on lens
We decided to stop at Pandy. After the Black Mountains the rest seems a bit lame. 145 miles in December carrying full packs has left us both feeling much fitter. A friend has a very nice manor house in the Forest of Dean so we will walk gently eastwards tomorrow to join them for a decent home cooked dinner and comfortable night's rest.
^ the boots were the most ready to hand wind break for cooking the breakfast on the mini Trangia
the Trangia itself was a poor choice. The proper old school version is much better
Should have brought one of these instead:

Looks amazing.
We continued on the Wysis Path from Monmouth. It connects Offas Dyke with the Thames Path. The signage was patchy. A map and compass helped. Much of the area withouth phone signal for accurate map navigation.
weather clearing up?
An hour or so of rain on last day. We had to call a halt, partly due to the imminent total lockdown.
160 miles total walking.
Beautiful countryside.
We stayed at b n bs apart from one night camping. Cheapest room £50. Most expensive £100. The quality was generally excellent.
