Yep we have Prince William on speed dial and he's cancelled all official engagements
^^^ Told ya... port side going down!
The views were becoming increasingly intoxicating or maybe it was the lack of oxygen combined with the previous nights alcohol consumption...
Had to fend of a few dodgy Pokemon locals as well..
You are very lucky with the weather Chitty, that looks glorious. I have been up 3 times and every time its rained/fogged out/missled.

Indeedio, the early bird climbers were complaining of cloud on their descent.
I climbed the Pyg trail several years ago in a total August white out.
Officially the highest sheep in Wales..
The views stretched forever, the sun was baking hot with a slight breeze, perfect conditions..
The Summit 1085m above sea level
Had to walk most of the way down backwards because of my knee joints Nobody batted an eyelid.
Virtually the last hikers on the mountain as the sun was setting.
Only place open for food which was a major issue by now was the supermarket in the town.
So sandwiches next to the lake it was, with a view to die for and paragliders for entertainment..
A ghost town..
C'mon son pull that sword out and be king, you'd do a better job than the current shower..
Mission Accomplished!

Bribery works every time
Still suffering with a few blisters and aching legs.
Picked up a few different souvenirs including an old railway track bolt and minerals..

All the best.

Great pics and amazing scenery! I always wanted to hike Mt. Snowden. I was at the base in 2005 in a minivan on a tour of the highlands. It is a beautiful country.. good on you and your family. I really loved Scotland, but it rained all the time I was there.. you lucked out.
Sorry I was talking about Ben Nevis, duh. Anyway, it is very nice scenery in Whales too.
not only syb, every two bit tefler on the board would have been on the verge of having a massive stroke what with the spelling and geographical errors.
MM - Ben Nevis is classified as the wettest place in the British Isles, fortunately it's a 14 hour drive away.
Tax n Sid - Keep Cryall away from positive threads
Lulu- Good idea ! A print is in the post.
What a great thread.
Well done Chitty and family.
Thanks for the pics & stories, chitty! Yes, pic threads are great. Unfortunately due to this situation, travel options are limited. Btw, a UK couple (Travel Beans on YT) had a vid comparing motor homes vs campervans, from a company called Spaceships vans. Maybe you could try the motorhome (it sleeps 7) and document it here? Good luck on all your future travel plans!
Ryan Giggs was playing his teammate Veron's Argentina in an international friendly, and Veron thought he was pulling the piss about there even being a country called Wales, let alone that Giggs would be playing for them.
Obviously the Argentinian educational system is on par with the Canadian one.
