A dodgy Derbyshire Dales day with da dog .

Kids are back in school and ive got the day off so what shall i do?

The sun is shining and the dog is giving me that look.

So he's riding shotgun with his head stuck out the window at 50mph all the way.

    A few pics...

Was up in these parts a couple of years back and nearly died of dehydration, today was the opposite.

The ruddy North face, at this point hailstones were bouncing of my unprotected scalp and stinging like hell .

Good stuff, Chitty. I have been to Derby and have relatives that live there. It is a beautiful area and lots of great pubs as well!
Enjoy your walk and cute doggy!

Cleared a few cobwebs away myself today.

Some nice pubs in Castleton, will try a few out next time.

Memories of my Border Collie out in those dales. She would cover twice the distance we walked, investigating every nook and cranny, enjoying the freedom of the dales. We would get home knackered but happy around 5 pm, and at six, the dog would be champing at the bit for her evening walk.

    Nice memories, thanks Chitty.

Their energy is relentless, mine can run at 30mph all day and not break a sweet.
    Fantastic dogs!

Here's the thread from a couple of years back on a warmer day...
