    Madchester to the Moon

Took the kids to visit the Tim Peake spacecraft at the Science museum.

Thought I'd share a few pics of Europe's fastest growing City, every week a new building flys up.

The city is an architects dream, new buildings next to old.

Here's a sample of Manchester today..

Let's get on it like a vw camper van bonnet

On my bike, again. These bikes are dumped all over the city centre, you need an app to hire them out.

The campervan restoration project is coming along swimmingly.

Enjoy the pics, even though some are topsy turvy, first attempt at a phot thread on my phone.

It might be an architect's dream, but it's becoming less so for the average man on the street who, similar to London, is fast finding they can't afford to live there.

Btw, have the scallies stopped throwing the bikes in canals now?

IRA did the city center the biggest favor
I do like Manchester, and enjoy my annual dragged round by the wife shopping trip,
    Chinatown is great

    prefer Liverpool mind you

but as Stuart Maconie shared about the landscape between Bolton and Manchester, of which an earlier traveler, JB Priestley, observed: "the ugliness is so complete it is almost exhilarating. It challenges you to live there."

"Manchester has fancied itself rotten for as long as anyone can remember".

Wow! A pint of Doom Bar, it's not 'Northern', it's some of Sharps famous Cornish Ales...that brings back some memories for me... trekking down to the 'Three Tuns' pub in St.Keverne, on The Lizard, with work.

Always looked forward to that pint when i arrived.

What a dreary shithole that near permanently grey skied and constantly drizzling Gunchester is.

Fuck that for a game of soldiers

I'd have thought the place would be a breath of fresh air for you, dil, considering where you are based on your UK trips.

Not again! Wolverhampton named as one of UK's most miserable cities

    News | Published: Apr 19, 2017

Wolverhampton has been named one of the unhappiest places to live in the UK, according to a new report.

It has already been named the fifth worst city in the world and its people as the most miserable – but now it has been ranked fifth out of the 13 most unhappy places to live in the country.
The latest findings were made as part of a study by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), which found that the city's high level of unemployment was a main factor in the rating.

I like the architecture.. .reminds me of a place I spent a year .... Bedfordshire.
Been through Madchester on the train up to Scotland.

Those bikes are popular here as well with the app. . .. I see a wedding ring.. woe is me.
