In the absence of any decent riding weather I though I'd brighten the thread up with some eye candy...

From 29 January, a change to the Highway Code means drivers will need to take greater care when approaching roundabouts, as the ‘signals and position’ section of the rules guide will advise drivers who now has priority in that context.

Under the new law, those who can cause the most harm on the roads will bear a higher burden of responsibility to prevent accidents, and in theory, this should increase awareness and cause less injuries and deaths on the road.

Currently, Rule 187 warns drivers to “watch out for and give plenty of room to” a number of other road users, but now, the new section under Rule 186 says that road users should give priority to cyclists on roundabouts.

A new law giving cyclists priority at roundabouts comes into force this week
    Shalom

They've had that law in Germany for decades.

The difference is they have fukking bike lanes everywhere there unlike here unless you go somewhere like Oxford.

I've nearly took out a few fukkin donuts over here undertaking me and the Country lanes are the worst. They are 60 mile an hour public highways and dangerous as fuck. It would be safer pedalling down the motorway hard shoulder. And that's where all you spandex clad kunts should be
I had a woman walking her dog the other day on a country lane, off the lead around a blind bend with no pavements there.
Walk your dog in the fields you daft bat

You'd be grumpy if you were on the road working and Joe and his 50 year old mates were out dressed like they were in the Tour de France but instead twaddling along at 10mph with their pert buttocks in your face.

If I drove my car at 20mph down a 60mph road I could be prosecuted

The idiots can now cycle in the middle of the road with impunity also due to this change of law.

Cycling has its perks, however I've only ever chatted to a cyclist looking like that once in 6 years.

    Its fooking great init!

However, watch out for Audi drivers and fvcking bus/lorry drivers.
Always take the phone number down on the back on the vehicle to report there uncourtious driving to their boss and get them a rollicking

They've been doing that for a while and with those helmet cams you can't run them off the road

If you put a pin in your wiper washer you can get it to spray pretty accurately to the left though, I'd imagine.

indeed, once i retire i'm getting an old banger, a lock up and taking the plates off for a few hours to cruise around and take out my cyclist of the week. I also can't wait to get one of those motorbility thingies, spend a few more hours annoying shoppers and shop assistants, after of course sitting there collecting money for me afternoon drink. Fuk can't wait.

^ I've been thinking about buying an old bus and turning it into a mobile home.

We could just make it look like an in service bus, change the number for Joe to report and go round the different bus routes taking these lycra wearing wankers out as we please.

I still have 2 uniforms too

You don't think a bus would be a bit conspicuous? not to mention trying to find a lock up big enough for it. I'm also not putting on a Santa outfit.

Bought another 2 bikes this week. Got the daughter a Mongoose ladies mountain bike that was used once from ebay for less than the price of a btwin rockrider(they get good reviews those btwins from Decathlon)and the wife a cheap generic ladies bike on sale, but it has the same shit brakes as yours Chitty.

How do I adjust caliper brakes?

Both pads on the front are rubbing against the rim.
