Another marathon few hours in the saddle.
The plan of action on my rides now involves cycling for two hours in a random uncycled route untill I am totally lost, I then turnaround at that point and try and return to my starting point via a different route. No sat nav or Garmin involved, just plain old fashioned road signs.
A glorious spring day so time to fuel up...

A bit breezy today, a ride that should have took an hour, took an extra 30 minutes.
It was like hitting a wall of wind at times, that halted me in my tracks.
Got a couple of pics in of a Tudor Hall and a fancy wood store...
They are looking for part-time bar staff at the hall, Chitty. Get on it like a car bonnet.
Ah, I see. Cheers
Blown away the cobwebs with a ride up in the hills.
Spring lambs grazing in the shade.
Bluebells and wild garlic aromas in abundance.
Sweating like a Lulu in an African love shack.
Still picking the flies out of my teeth on this glorious 25oC day...
A few hours in the saddle today exploring the old market town of Altrincham in Trafford, West of Manchester ..

A Lulu caravan, people spend thousands on these and sit in a muddy field in Wales for two weeks a year enjoying them..
Mint new cycle path, must have sweated a bottle of Grants Whiskey out today..

^ That looks great.
I like the shape of the Yorkshire Puddings as well.
There's a lot to be said for escaping from the norm for several hours on a Sunny day.
Good for your focus and body.
Might have overdone it a bit today with nearly six hours in the saddle on one of the hottest days of the year.
Snapped some great pics from my neck of the woods, try to find different routes all the time and today was no exception.
Millionaires paradise around here, this is were the naughty people went so the locals could dispense of their old fruit and vegetables. .
A cyclists charity shop, only in Prestbury. .
Yep twas a hot day..
Got caught short and backed a turtles head out behind this fine looking establishment. .
Shouldn't have snapped my puncture proof tyre as it came back to haunt me in my home straight..
This mural among many others was painted by a former County cricket player turned cyclists. .
Wouldn't fancy pushing one of these hand ploughs in today's weather...
Refreshingly cool tunnels under Manchester Airport. .
Spot the air traffic control tower..
A pit stop is needed, smoothly does it with a pint of John Smiths, beer Carbs rule...
A quick stop at the Aviation park, name the planes anyone???
The city in the distance. .
A spot of dinner, Sirloin with a cheesy jacket potato and baked beans...

^ Mate great post.
One question though. Great scenic shots ... why are you so crap at taking food pics?
A great thread Chitty.
I am enjoying it almost as much as you are living it.
Nice pics!
Sorry, your handlebar position seems so odd to me. I can't see how that could be comfortable.
^ imagine driving behind the weirdo
^ no, I wasn't taking a shot at him, just curious. Looks like he would have a more upright position with hands on the tops of the bars but very uncomfortable and inefficent in the drops.
I've noticed a lot of false cyclist this week in Blighty silent ones with electric motors.
Seems you are not cheating keep turning those pedals much more enjoyable.
