Nice thread Mat congrats on your 49th

Hope you went in the National Gallery whilst you was in Trafalgar Square

I really don't like all these performing foreigners around the pavements , makes you wonder whether they are here legally or not , especially when they are doing this nonsense 7 days a week

The Lumix is a great value camera , I have the LF1 model , does for me
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

Working 7 days a week keeps them out of trouble, occupied and off welfare, doesnt it?

^Heh...But not off the streets...I actually enjoy good street acts...If the area is indeed well-cleaned and "respectable," they are easily kept under control...

Lovely, absolutely lovely!!! I haven't been to London for about 15 years, but it looks good and the pavements seem to be clean.

Congrats to you and Flobo. Too many marriages break down after a few years. Its always nice to see some last. My parents were married for 56 years before he, sadly, passed away. And loved and nagged each other till the last minute. And now she's nagging her kids!!

That's really great to hear KW.

I've hopefully placed a good few interesting threads
and bits and pieces on TD over the last 7 years.

It has it's ups and downs too. That's because it's real, not a
manufactured serial. It is what it is, folk are seen as they
are and in general a lot of water has run through the drains.

Some sad losses along the way too.

Not being particular but mentioning names that come to mind.

D Dog, Happyman, Propagator, Klongmaster.. (RIP Guys)
Those who we hear little or nothing from any longer.

It's what it is on TeakDoor. The Real Deal in a simple manner of speaking.
All the women take their blouses off
And the men all dance on the polka dots
    It's closing time !

Thanks a lot Patsy. Nice of you love. x

London is looking terrific, much cleaner, better run and more favourable.

Churchill's War Rooms are worth looking at too.

Again, some amazing History attached to London. A special City.

So much done down there, that meant so much.

'Old Winston' he lived down there. Quite a character.

Well worth the visit and fee to view this setting.

The Steps lead down to The Dock.

Can't say I'd have fancied spending my working days
for nearly six years down there though.

All nice and clean etc now of course.

    Normal Service has been resumed.

    Interesting bits and pieces.

Churchill's Cat Smokey he resided at No 10 Downing Street.

    Well The Cat would!

Must be some terrific anecdotes from those years.

    Certainly down to basics.

This guy here, with the silly moustache.

    A trouble causer.

    Another place worth a visit.

    The Supreme High Court.

We got good seats as well.

Some exquisite work on The Oak Seating and walls etc.

    Very impressive.

England, Northern Ireland, Scotland & Wales.

    A very impressive building throughout.

There was a case running in one of The Courts
and we could have sat in the Public Gallery.

    Not our choice though.

Thanks Looper. Enjoyed every minute of the same as well.

Enjoying the countryside walks we are managing, especially
with the variations from lowland, wooded locations, moorlands
and just about any riverside with decent walking routes.

    Plenty of outstanding views.

That Lumix is certainly packing a punch !

I know the pros will bang on about they're SLR,s and fair enough if its your living or serious hobby you will go down that route , but for some really good pictures with a budget camera in your pocket these little Lumix,s come up trumps

These are The Cloisters at Westminster Abbey.

I got the feeling that every man, should spend a little time
strolling around here and enjoying the beauty of meditation
    for a while.

    It has a profound feeling.

We spent a good hour or more in Westminster Abbey,
unfortunately photography is now forbidden, which is a pity.

Also the schools had been let loose on London,
special rates I suppose, but it did take away the
enjoyment we would have had here, if it had not been
somewhat representative of Waterloo, Victoria and King’s
Cross St. Pancras Tube Stations at peak hour!

Pity, but such is life, from time to time.

It's also very clever how they feed the masses through
seperate entrances, giving the tourists the impression that
it's not so busy as they walk to the 'pay to view and enjoy gate!"

    Then again, that's business.

Will all the passengers, move along 'de-bus'

They didn't stop for a minute, so many tourists and
school trips all on the same route.

    England Swings.

England swings like a pendulum do,
Bobbies on bicycles, two by two,
Westminster Abbey the tower of Big Ben,
The rosy red cheeks of the little children.

    The Tower of Big Ben.

    Something magical about the same.

You might just notice 12 noon, never been at the front of it and had
the full dozen. Quite a holy din in a jesting manner.

Impressive and we have it on camera.

You cannot help but notice, the cleanliness of the City
    throughout.

Some good looking vehicles transport and private.

    River Police on the re-run.

That looks the ideal spot to make for.

Heh...I was humming that tune just before I scrolled into it...

It really was the center of the world back in the day...

Pity it was a little cloudy on the day,
    however, we enjoyed every minute.

In general terms the photographs weren't bad at all.

Even The Thames is looking cleaner and more sociable to the thriving
fish and wild life returns being experienced.

A lot going on as well.

Not a single strip of bamboo either!

    Climbing higher.

I think the round trip is about 45 minutes.

    Westminster Bridge looking fantastic.

    It all does.

    Getting closer to the top.

    Sensational.

    Almost there.

    More over the weekend.
